The ‘81-s is definitely under graded by today’s standards don’t think it will get PL. The 1880-O looks AU to me.

The last GSA had 1882 card but the coin was 1884

I think maybe you were seeing the MS62 grade. The label and coin both said it was 1884 🤔

He's talking about the inserted card with the serial number. At 38:49, you can see the first two digits are 82 which indicates it belongs with an 1882 coin. I didn't see the serial number on the 1882, so hopefully that started with 84 and they can just be swapped. Regardless, this is so cool I had to rewatch it after I watched the Part 2. @@rockysramblings

Damn Rocky thats a serious haul! Im working slowly but surely on my Morgan Dansco date set but the LCS is selling common dates for around $38 so my spot filling has screeched almost to a hault so im always looking for deals to be had in the community.

I just picked up another haul of 581 silver dollars and 420 half dollars. My average cost on those circulated is $26. Silver is going for $25 right now. Prices are going up! It’s pricey but if you can buy large collections is your best bet to get a better average price

Yeah I was pretty excited to get so many key dates. Most my Morgan’s have come from eBay rolls and I’ve done well but you never find those key dates obviously. I’m itching to get another collection! Thanks for watching

It's funny you say that about 1921's. I feel the exact same way. I don't know why. Maybe it's because you see so many of them? I don't know. But, I have my 3 and that's it. The rest I just throw into my silver stacking pile. LOL. Anyway, great video. I love Morgans and I'd love to get a collection like that to go through.

Lovely Morgans -- but could you clean the distracting dust and dandruff off of your black table cloth or pad, please? Thanks! Also, instead of hating on the 1921s, it helped me to start thinking of them as bullion with a slightly higher premium. Once i readjusted my mind-set, they became attractive -- certainly more attractive than ASEs!

@@rockysramblings Try a nice medium-dark wood table with a satin finish (not high gloss) and wipe it clean before shooting -- that's what i use for my photos of products i sell. I find that warm wood tones make the nicest background, conveying luxury, traditional American values, and comfortable hominess at the same time -- just like a Morgan dollar!

Are you saying The Carbomers Water Absorbent Plastic Fibers will damage the coin and have you actually tried using them ? Are you saying the Fluoride will damage the coin and have you tried the Fluoride alone with no mechanical polish additives and no rubbing the coin, basically have you dipped a coin in Fluoride and sunlight. The Fluoride I use is probably 500 times less abrasive than EZest coin dip. And Which coin are we talking about the MS that should not need cleaning because coins are not dirty when they leave the Mint. Or the XF that already has circulation damage and a 85% chance that is has already been cleaned multiple times in it's 140 years of existence. @@rockysramblings

How can you be sure when the luster is gone. Maybe compare it to non PL coins in the same condition. There have been a lot of PLs circulate over the years. Deep Cameos and Ultra Deep Cameos not so much. But PLs with poor strikes got circulated.@@rockysramblings

You got caught up in the moment man you got to stop buying Morgan’s and do more research for 1 month and go look at bunch coins also a PL coin vs dmpl you know what they look like hell you own some pull out a PL and a dmpl put them beside the coin in question that will tell you exactly what you what to know good luck but that 80 o was bad you lost 1300 in that maybe the free stuff make up for it

Oh I got my money out of the total deal for sure. I can tell PL and DMPL pretty well most the time but when they’re in holders it completely screws me up cuz the plastic makes them look more reflective.
