He's also not the stereotypical superstar body, moves slow, and can't jump up a curb on a street, but he just makes it all look easy. He's one of the most efficient scores ever to play, he has one of the best Basketball IQs to play, and he does it all while playing for a franchise that the NBA forgot about for most of its existence so I get why people are slow to like him.

The Aaron Gordon dunk in OT was pivotal in this game, and it appears that Landry Shamet was not completely set when he made contact with Aaron Gordon. That harkens back to the old school rules for charging versus a blocking foul. Shamit was outside of the restricted area however he was still leaning back essentially when he made contact and he wasn't set more than half a second. Most of that rule is very gray about the time aspects of how long a player is set before the advancing player with the ball actually contacts them in the situation. I feel like that's why the referee whose name escapes me presently, was so confusing and vague in his explanation at the end of the game about that foul.

Him and jokic have been bullying every front line they come across if mpj can stay healthy our front line is gonna be a problem with all the size and skill those three have. We just have to stop playing lineups with both murray and bones how much evidence does malone need to figure out that lineup doesnt work. I initially thought charging was the right call on Gordon and it was some political stuff that it was overturned. Then I rewatched the play 2-3 times. Yeah the Suns player picked up his right foot ( which is ok) but he lifted it up to lean into and make sure there was contact with Gordon- so yes it was a foul on him. Suns player was smart in thinking that Gordon had dunking on his mind and setting him up for a charge. But in the open court like that , if you’re trying to set somebody up for a charge ( which is a perfectly fine thing to do ) you have to be PRECISE . These are elite athletes who just need a few inches to jump around you . Suns player miscalculated the angle to the goal, tried to adjust and ended up turning it into a foul on HIMSELF. If he had not moved at all Gordon likely would’ve dunked over him with incidental contact . Joker MVP does it again !
