2:55 Disguised as a kangaroo showed the least suspicion when escaping. If the guards didn't shoot, he would made it to freedom.

But it's weird when someone see a kangaroo jump as short distances as a human could do . Strangely enough , the guards don't keep a carefull eyes until they shoot him

Actually guards did not shoot him but aimed at the kangaroos then fired. He was forced to reveal the real identity

Someone who was attempting to escape prison actually attempted a modern version of the Kangaroo story. Unfortunately the guards and the dogs just saw their dinner and attempted to kill him, forcing him to surrender and reval himself.

@Herr Spiegel a huge portion of the people living in America are descended from the same type of undesirables that Britain sent to Australia. You could be sentenced to transportation for literally anything back then. Even something as petty as stealing bread. Or being unable to pay a small debt. One of my male ancestors was sent from a debtors prison in Britain, sentenced to transportation to the Americas, and sold into indentured servitude.

I remember US Navy sailors did something similar in the 60s and went to Venezuela or somewhere around there and like typical Reddit people of today thought it would be a good idea to join the guerilla fighters there and actually thought they would be accepted. Something similar happened in Quebec Canada, the friends of a convict went on a helicopter tour than took the pilot hostage and forced him to fly over the prison yard and they dropped a rope ladder down to their buddy, got caught not long after though

The dude who skinned and wore the kangaroo skin 😂 makes me think of the movie "Kung Pow: Enter the Fist" where Betty and his gang are in the brush looking for Master Tang and Tang sings that song: ♪♪ chicken go cluck, cluck, cow go moo! Piggy go oink, oink, how bout you? Gotta be an animal just like you!♪♪" And then Betty's henchman does that super cheap bird call "ca' ka! Ca'ka!"
