Hey James, quick question... This might be a "D'uh.. obvious!" kind of question but, how would one use this method on guitars if we double track and pan each side? Guitar Bus > L channel > R channel. Wouldn't this add all the same to both sides? How can I apply this method but have the L&R guitar tracks have their own plugins and just a different set or plugins on the bus? Again, sorry if my question isn't clear or seems out of whack, But I am starting out and figuring Reaper as I go presently and I seem to a lot of quesitons. lol thanks !

You can definitely get REAPER to add a specific FX chain to a track with a specific name. So like, add "Guitar L FX chain" to the track named "Guitar L" and add "Guitar R FX chain" to the track named "Guitar L," and bind that to one shortcut. However, it requires extra step to set it up. I always group the stereo rhythm guitars into a parent track and do all the processing there, though.

Question: the track name should contain the word OR it has to be exactly that word? I mean, if the action is named "guitar", does it affects all tracks are containing the word guitar? i.e. "acoutstic guitar" "classical guitar" ?

The track name has to be exact that word. If you have 3 tracks named "Guitar," "Acoustic Guitar" and "Rhythm Guitar," only "Guitar" will be selected. If could be wrong, but I don't think it works with tracks whose names have space in them.

James Z Productions I asked this, because with SWS, when I auto-assign color and icon to a track, it's sufficent that the name is into the track's name. So I assigned ornage for all guitars by the acronym GTR. Then naming the tracks "Ac. GTR" "E. GTR", it assigns orange to them, 'cause GTR is on them. Hence Imimagined it could work in this case as well
