out of the exhaustive list you presented, i'm pressed to confess tres leches is the best.

Black forest gateau as it is known in Europe doesn't use cherry vodka, the sponge cake layers are drizzled with Kirsch, a sweet liqueur made from cherries.

Pecan pie, cinnamon buns fresh and warm, homemade butterscotch pudding, and a guilty pleasure - warm from the oven Rice Crispy squares made with butter! 👍 😃

Thanks for explaining that Tres Leches cake originated in the middle ages (probably in Spain) and not in Mexico like many bloggers claim. Refine pastry is not native of Mexican culture. However, Caribbean countries such as Cuba, Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico all of which have a great Spaniard influence are known for making awesome Tres Leches cake.

@1:13... At old Yankee Stadium, there was a small concession booth on the club level that had black& whites with the Yankee NY logo. It was a traditional treat at Yankee games.

I love Baklava, my mom has made it in the past from scratch. It is so good and sweet.

Most people believe baklava is Greek but no it is Turkish. Like Swedish meatballs, again, a Turkish origin.

Chocolate hazelnut mousse pie with a grahm cracker crust! Oh boy! Also Hazelnut Chocolate log from the Bellevue Stratford hotel. I worked in the pasty shop and it was amazing! Fortunately I have the recipe 😋.

I'm shocked you did not include the best dessert of all- Butter Tarts. Although most industrial tarts are nothing great, home made butter tarts or proper bakery tarts are just heaven. On their own, or with ice cream, cannot be beat!

The most missed dessert is Viennetta ice cream in grocery stores. Finding that in any restaurant guess you could order tiramisu and freeze it.

You missed #1 & 2, mom's English toffee and her strawberry pie. My only regret in life is not trying Chi Chi's fried ice cream sooner. It was so good! Hard to believe I haven't seen an attempt of a copy

I’ve had most of these desserts and they are addictive as they look. Many of these you can find in grocery stores, like Tastykake.

Every Valentine's Day I go to my favorite restaurant with the best cream Brule I eat the top then they put more sugar on top and do it one more time and again I Crack into it so yummy

I ended up learning how to make creme burley, it reminds me of a caramelized tapioca, it’s okay but, not crazy about it.I also know a easier way to make chocolate mouse, I fell in love with it as kid when, we would go to Howard Johnson’s. I went to school with a girl who was from Mexico who made those horn cookies but, we’re in bon bons and, those were good, problem is they are addictive. I have love quite a few of these desserts that made it on the list, but, I am surprised not to see bread pudding didn’t make the list, with a Burbon cream sauce to poor over the top, it’s the perfect comfort food.
