Ahhh my Smoon and crew! Epica has remained so faithful to their METAL roots through all 20 years so far…and somehow keeps improving and the Sun is under them now more than ever. Wait till you hear some of their new collab music from their last all collab EP Jynger…every song is SO different. This here today you know is from their 2021 Virtual Streaming Pandemic show…and it is on blu-Ray and is one hell of a gig!! 😎🤘Power, beauty and inspiration. So many of their songs have such deep lyrics…love the substance along with epic walls of sound music! You look delish by the way Jynger! ☺️

"This makes me happy!" Well, Jynger, that makes me happy! Your face is priceless each time Mark Jansen opens his mouth and I'm glad your cheeks are hurting. This was delightful to watch, so thank you! And this is #499...so the next one marks a huge milestone

If you're like me, you could spend all day listening to this band. Simone's voice and the music just take me to another plane of consciousness. I can see you flowing into the same place as you listen. I know that is one of the issues you have doing reactions... you can't just sit down and listen to it all. I'll listen for you in the mean time lol.

So if and when I'm pushing up the daisies, this better be the band at heavens doors! It's got everything a true metal music lover wants. It's got hard, it's got heavy, symphonic, soft acoustic, mystical sounds and how opera and powerful growling can coexist is still an Enigma to me. People, in the regular metal world you are seriously missing out!!🎼🤘🌹

Hello again! Please make sure you also watch the Official Lyric video for this song! KoH part 2 is more atmospheric and less bombastic than 1 and 3, but it actually may be my favourite. I love Simone's voice in it. There's no live video for this song, but you can at least read lyrics while listening.. Here it is: kzbin.info/www/bejne/n3_JYqmlh6aKjpI

Epica's Kingdom of Heaven p1 is easily one of my all time favorite Epica songs !!! The song is about trying to find common ground between science and spirituality, I think they are basically advancing a scientific approach to spiritual experiences. For instance it's a fact that people do have near death experiences, like the song touches upon. So we should study that with an open mind and see what there is to learn. They are also criticizing the purely materialistic view SOME scientists hold(certainly not all), as the purely materialistic view doesn't and can't explain things like near death experiences.... NWSU/FloorFan/Epican 🤘😎🤘

Probably the song in Epica's catalogue that impressed me the most and made me a drooling fan. Absolute masterpiece in every way.

I really love this song live as well as in studio...the variety of elements and more Death and Black metal passages in a single song are clear... Epica never disappoints us ..

love seeing more epica reactions from u pop up. makes my day. also, this isnt my *favourite* epica song, but the section from the beginning of the acoustic guitar all the way to the end of the guitar solo is possibly my favourite part to any of their songs. it goes so fkn hard i cant even. i cant remember if youve done tides of time yet but i highly recommend it. and bring tissues lol. cant wait for the next one

Did you ever think you would hear the word Quantum Physics used in a song? 🤣 The full song title is Kingdom of Heaven (A New Age Dawns Part V). Here at 2021 Omega Alive, Part 1 and Part 3 were played back to back, 27 straight minutes of Kingdom of Heaven.🤘🤘. The 3 parts are on 3 different albums. Part II (Not played at this concert), is entitled The Quantum Enigma (Kingdom of Heaven Part II), not as long either at just under 12 minutes.

I'm loving these performances much more than the album versions. Those are great, but it just seems like the extra crunch on the guitars and improved musicianship kicks them up to 11.

For the doubters out there who might think the stream wasn't 'really live': I have seen them play this song actually live three times recently and I can confirm it sounds like this live. They're just really skilled like that.

Sounds "Epic"-a.

I realize it's blasphemy to say this, but Simone's vocals from Omega Alive are not good. She sounds out of tune or perhaps there's something wrong the mix (I don't know anything about music)...either way I can't listen to it. Usually I stan for this girl to an absurd degree, but not this time. Mark's at the top of his game with the growls, though. Such an improvement from the early days. Has he started smoking or something? ;-P

Guess I'm just old. But I can do without the silly growling in a lot of today's music. By the way does NW growl like that, certainly not. I love most Rock Music , but whatever. I also am a little tired of all these drummers with these double foot pedals. All this sound and their arms aren't moving all that much. It's a cheap trick. I know I'm going to get a lot of upset people sending me hate stuff, but I don't care I'm entitled toy opinion. This singer is epic, and the guitars are great. They're definitely are good players. Sometimes less is more. Growling is silly
@Percy92 Жыл бұрын
For me the contrast between the growling and Simone's angelic voice is what makes Epica's music amazing. Their discography wouldn't be this epic without the growls imo.

It’s called metal… This is not rock.
@gerardconvie4797 Жыл бұрын
@@jonathanratliff4780 there's tons of metal, Metallica ring a bell? That doesn't do growling. It's silly period. One day when you grow up you'll understand. When they can tell me what key they're growling in I'll be impressed. Like I said kiddie music. Get over it
@jonathanratliff4780 Жыл бұрын
@@gerardconvie4797 Metallica is not metal….most Metallica fans are not into metal. Hell even Rammstein is commercialized to point it is arguable if they are true metal. There is an art form to thrash vocals, if you care to litmus test me on this, check out the classical trained singer/vocal coach Elizabeth from Charasmatic Voice and her having analysis done via micro camera down the throat of Lorna Shore’s vocalist Will Ramos and her explaining the art form. Please stop embarrassing yourself due to prejudices and not knowledge. Tell me what do you think separates metal from rock? I’m all ears and btw, it is highly likely I am older than u.
