This reminds me of when I was in Samoa. A buddy and I did a 40 min paddle to a secret spot in a cove. We got to it and sittng 8n the take off spot our feet were touching th live coral. The waves were only chest high but when you have gin clear water and its 2 feet deep it raises the heart rate a bit. Especially on the take off. When we would kick out your fins would scrape. If one were to get hurt there you would s.o.l. as its secluded. It was such a beautiful spot and at the point when the waves would splash it produced physcedelic like colors. Magical stuff.

Kale, wear a helmet on the bike mate. Same goes for shallow reefs. Your insurance won't cover you if ya knock your head and you'll be left stranded in a 3rd world hospital. Trust me I've seen it happen.

Unfortunately didn’t have one available but I absolutely agree 👍🏽

+1, I hit my head 2 times in Indo over 6 weeks, I regret I didn't have a helmet. What I learned is that you can easily hurt yourself when the waves are that small and reef is not that shallow.

Agreed! Had a friend die in Hawaii on a reef. Narly surf, he shouldnt have gone out on that particular day. Love watching you Kale!

Yea it’s important to stay safe usually won’t happen to advanced surfers but a guy died in 2-3 foot waves sand bottom here in New Smyrna Beach, landed on his head idk if he broke his neck or got knocked out and drowned but he died, be safe

The trick for way in is to paddle the board with the fins forward, so that if you're close to the reef, it won't grab them and maybe damage the fin plugs ;)

I k is exactly where you are… How sketchy is the walk out. If it’s not sharp it’s set so slippery. I found walking out on the rocks next to the steps better. However, I did have duties on. PS please borrow a helmet and riding a bike. ❤
