Another hack I've adopted.... I ordered pillow inserts from Amazon and pillow covers for everyday and for Christmas. This way I'm not struggling to store pillows, just wash and store the pillow covers!!

Two years ago, I made fabric gift bags out of Christmas flannel, a different pattern for each person, for our family of five. Everyone has 5 bags with 4 being a little smaller than a pillow case and one being extra large, so five gifts a year per person. Even if the gift item is really small, I just roll it and tie each end like a candy. I wish I had done this when my kids were younger because it works great!!!

I did this a few years ago and I'll even use them as gifts for friends. I tell them if they like the wrap they can keep it, but if they don't just give it back to me sometime. I'm about 50/50 with getting them back. And the people who keep them actually re-use them, so that's a little less wrapping paper waste all around!

My neighbors always "gift bag" the ingredients for simmer pots...same as yours but they pack up a whole orange, rosemary sprig, whole cloves, cinnamon stick, and a vanilla bean. They hand them out to all neighbors, and it's my favorite gift of the season. I use a small saucepan (some prefer small crock pot), simmer all day, cool off in the evening, put in fridge and reuse it several times. By just adding more water and refrigerating, you can keep these going for a while and really get your money's worth.

I love dried oranges for Christmas decor, this year I did them in my air fryer and it worked better than the oven, anywhere from 3-5 hrs to get them dry on the dehydrate setting, and there's constant air movement so you don't have to flip them as much. Also, if you live near a Hobby Lobby, sometimes you can find great deals on Christmas decor when everything is on sale, I think right now it's all 60% off.

Some practical hacks to prepare for the inflation and depression coming after the Christmas: Limit unnecessary spending, Pay attention to your health, Invest and spread your assets and while at it, always make correct inquiries so you don't throw your money in the wind or better still, get the services of an expert (that way, you give little room for error). Been using these for 2 years now and finally made up to a million. I may be prepared, are you? or you want to completely empty your reserves this Christmas?

Using command hooks on the backs of doors and cabinets and then using fishing line to hang wreaths is BRILLIANT!! And as for wrapping paper, great tip from my mom as I was growing up- use Reynolds Wrap (foil) - it’s shiny, easy to use, and no need for tape! She’s wrapped with this whenever we ran out of wrapping paper, and I’ve borrowed this idea for years - just add a bow or some twine and some greens from a tree or shrub outside and Voila- looks so beautiful 🤩

Some thing that has kept me from buying new Christmas decorations is putting them in different places in my house each year. That way I don’t get bored with what I have. I also have always taken down pictures I have hung up year round and then I just hang whatever Christmas decoration I have on the hook that’s already there. I’ve also adopted the same organizing technique that I normally use in my home: If I don’t love it or I don’t know why I have it I’m just getting rid of it.

Thank you for sharing these awesome tips, I'm only a couple of minutes in, and I'm so excited!! A few years back I started going to little pop up Christmas tree "shops", whichever one benefits a local charity or organization, and seeing if they have any scraps or usually pieces people don't want. A lot of places will either give them to you or they'll be cheap like a buck or two a piece! I love using those pieces to make wreaths, to make garland look fuller and/or more "expensive", or my favorite way is to wrap a present in brown mailing/butcher paper (usually cheaper, better quality, and you get more bang for your buck), tie some twine or pretty ribbon around it, pop on some faux holly berries from Dollar Tree, and then add a piece of the greeny. Ahhh!! It's so beautiful, elegant and sooooo affordable!! Absolutely love that!!! Also, in Dollar Tree plus section this year, they have some pretty bows like the second one you showed us in the beginning of the video for only three bucks girl!! I also love grabbing some of the large fabric gift bags from Dollar Tree and making pillows and/or pillow covers from them!! I may have to edit my comment after I finish watching video!!! 😂🤦🏼‍♀️❤️💚
