💥Well to keep it short: the (🇬🇧UK ONLY👉) FRIENDS 4K💿 sets have mislabeled discs, some supposedly missing content, playback issues & errors! Because of this WB is working on a replacement program specifically for the different 🇬🇧UK “ONLY” 4K💿 sets! 💥As I shared there is absolutely NOTHING wrong with the 🇺🇸USA FRIENDS 4K💿set!

I have the UK release and can confirm these issues - disc labelling incorrect and the image isn’t good. Had to adjust settings on tv to correct very blown out picture.

Hi James, just today Amazon sent me an updated delivery estimate, on this Friends Box Set, now arriving earlier than Oct 06-> to Sept 30-Oct 01. Thanks for the great review, we’ll be pleasantly surprised when we play these 4K discs on our 65” Curved Samsung 4K TV. The Elite Pioneer AVR will handle the audio superbly. Really excited to see this massive video improvement as the cable broadcasts are just ok, but that’s what we’re used to. Not any more ! lol Thanks for your excellent work on these podcasts.

Now to answer your questions: So for myself personally as a full time professional reviewer I have always had all of my 4K TV’s & 4K Players professionally calibrated so that I can always accurately compare & review each & every 4K UltraHD💿 release here on my channel but with that being said for yourself it’s something I do recommend if you have a high end 4K TV & your wanting to see everything the exact way it’s intended to be seen but it is a pricey endeavor usually & if you are planning on upgrading your home theatre equipment in the next year or so then I would do it once you’ve upgraded to a new high end 4K TV!📺 But it’s also a personal preference thing too because if you don’t care to have everything look exactly like the directors intended vision then that’s something you have to decide on too! ❓Did you spend a lot for your home theatre equipment? 😉I hope this kinda makes sense & I’m trying to be open with you about all your choices & help you out!👍 🥰I really appreciate all your great support & you using all my links when you order 4K’s💿 it really means a whole lot to me & my channel!!👌😍

Thanks for your review! I've bought the 4K boxset in the UK and sadly our version is totally messed up. The discs for season's 3 and 4 are mixed up. But worse the colour grade/correction across all 10 seasons is totally wrong for Monica's apartment. The purple walls are straight up blue! I've tested on both my professionally calibrated projector and OLED TV with Dolby Vision with the same blue results. I've notified where I purchased it (HMV) and WB too. Copies are no longer being sold and I guess taken down from the likes of HMV & Amazon UK. Hoping for a recall and fix, but currently no word from either HMV or WB. Lucky USA owners getting actual purple walls. I'd buy the USA version right away but there's $132 import tax on top!

I have all ten seasons in a wooden case with an acrylic door with an image of the cast walking together. It was made available after season ten was released on DVD. Crikey, I feel really old now! I grew up watching the series when I lived in Hawaii!

I don’t have the discs yet but assuming that this restoration is the same that is streaming on HBO Max currently, they are not they extended scenes from the DVD release which is a disappointment.

I note that you said that one of the seasons on 4k had supersized episodes, but that was it. @@rinzlur-k6m 💥So when I compared this FRIENDS 4K💿 to the digital version I discovered that the digital version is a much poorer waxy looking version & is a severely compressed, dumbed down & much lower image & sound quality than this physical 4K UltraHD💿 release & the digital does NOT🚫 look anywhere near as good as this outstanding 🔴FRIENDS 4K💿set!!👌 😉Hope all this info helps you out!!👍

I think friends is a terrible show, personally. However I'm glad this looks like a good set for those that want it.

It's cool that they decided to do that, it means that physical media are not dead yet. But at the same time I don't think that Friends is a show that need 4k transfer, sharp image, fixed colors, dolby atmos etc. I'd prefer Twin Peaks, Lost or Battlestar Galactica than a comedy show that is taking place on stages that were pretending to be apartments and a cafe.

@@jeffcarlin5866 😜Ok, that’s fair I thought you were just another person trolling this review video because they are a friends TV show 😤HATER & I’ve had over 50 angry & nasty people just hating on & irritatingly bashing everything all about the FRIENDS TV series itself & the writing the cast, the stage, the music, the hair styles ETC…. & they have nothing even to do with this 4K💿 & it’s gotten real old all the negativity from some haters group towards the show the past couple days!!😅 LOL!!😜 Hope this explanation kinda makes sense, sometimes when I’m typing fast it doesn’t come out correctly!!! LOL!!😂

Still, I look forward to listening to your review of Seinfeld (if it ever drops on Blu-ray)...and your review of The Sopranos (if it ever drops on 4K). I have watched your channel for two or three years now. I have TRIED to watch Friends and laugh at its characters and jokes and situations...but I have never enjoyed it. I prefer Seinfeld, Curb Your Enthusiasm, South Park, and The Simpsons. I might be a bit of a snob. Comedy is subjective, as they say.
