I absolutely loved the way you designed your home! I love that this does not follow the typical hdb floorplan layout, i.e. living room area where the sofa and tv follows the suggested spaces, etc. I can also see the NYC inspiration throughout the entire home, vs the typical singaporean scandi style, which is so pretentious and boring. This my friend is genius and very authentic to your character.

oh this house quite famous, used a lot for commercial and TV shoots. but i prefer the older styling, as it was gentler and calmer. this one made it feel small 😔

Appreciate the effort in the space, money is his to use, but, would it have been better to keep 4-room HDBs for families who truly need it? Quite inefficient to have one person in a space that would have otherwise gone to a growing family.

Hey Eli! Thanks for sharing your thoughts! So long as there's a willing buyer and seller we think it's okay. The government can impose social housing policies such as limiting singles to certain flat sizes if this is an issue to be addressed, but we do think that the single population purchasing 4-room resale flats can help support prices there too, so we don't think it's a matter of housing needs for now. Of course, for BTOs it's a different story, and that's why they can only ballot for 2-room flats 😀
