Trolling online... That's alright, I once had an anthropology textbook that actually contained the phrase, "trolling Facebook for friends." It's kind of strange how digital technology has changed and accelerated all art forms. These days, the first thing I think of when you say "comic" is mostly, if not entirely digital in its process. Much the same way as music and film have gone digital. Interesting.

I'm not an english teacher, but how does that change the main point of my comment? I sincerely believe this is a waste of time, i am not even interested in watching the rest of the clip after 2 minutes. TEDed is great for most of their videos, but i can easily pick out another 4-5 videos that are there simply to make up the numbers. That's just a flaunt in sloppy effort on TED's part.

WELL... that depends on what you teach for. If you were teaching for art, this could serve as a type of informal memo as to how artists or animators see the world. But seriously now, don't "want" your students to not to watch this. Actually, I'm having a hard time believing you're a teacher period.

it is a ted talk by a female cartoonist. it is her perspective. and categorizing cartoonists by male or female being better or worse is a superficial observation. every single artist is different. I suggest you do more research on individuals, and develop favorites that way. also, since we are making erroneous comments from personal preference, i would try expanding your vocabulary beyond words like "better". good luck.
