I worked for the LeBlanc family as a design checker & engineer for over 2 years at GPV. They were very supportive, knowledgeable & a joy to work for. Junior & Senior were intelligent, effective leaders, yet were most personable. I remember the first time we met what Senior had inscribed over his office entrance door. It said,"The words I fear the most are, Hi, I'm from the government & I'm here to help you".I'm saddened by Mr. LeBlanc Senior's passing. We've lost one of engineering's greatest minds.

@@bigbitness4450 it’s just part of the republican agenda to eliminate any and all programs that help regular people. From the moment FDR signed the bill authorizing Social Security, republicans have been trying to wipe it out. The same goes for Medicare and Medicaid. The EPA, OSHA, the FTC, the SEC, etc, etc, etc. Reagan and the rest of the republicans have convinced their base that if it comes from the government, it must be bad. They run for office on the premise that government doesn’t work. Then when they get elected, they prove it.

Well worth the money that they are asking. Could easily pay for itself as a bed and breakfast. Add some beautiful landscaping with roses on a trellis would be lovely place for weddings. Could have the reception plus honeymoon there as well. The mote? Well I would have to call Augascape to turn it into a natural stream and fish pond. So many possibilities. With 6 acres you could have more beautiful landscaping with trails, maybe a few cottages to rent out for those who need a vacation away from it all. Hope somebody sees all the potential in this home.

Fascinating building. Thanks for the tour. As I understand it, the issue with the property is the location and land that it is built on. I believe there are serious restrictions on what can be done on this property. It would be a cool, but challenging family home. It cries out to be a venue, Airbnb, rental, movie set, museum, etc. BUT I believe these uses are prohibited by land it is on. Just my past recollection from reading about this special place, NOT OFFICIAL OR CURRENT INFO.

I love it! It is gorgeous though I am a castle fanatic and am obsessed with that style of architecture and period details, so I personally would be making it look much older with faux fini techniques and try to hide even more modern conveniences, darken the woodwork as it is often rich dark brown or even almost black in real castles, more stain glass windows/leaded windows, more stone arches and pillars. More stone and brick like the basement, WAY LESS mirrors but that was very '90s. The fun house mirror room seems like a bit of a wasted space, I would put in a several story library. NO wall to wall carpeting anywhere. Tin ceilings. The wrapping room!!! I've been in some gorgeous mansions but never have I seen one of those!! Used once or twice a year, I would convert that into an art studio. The basement would get a home theatre. I found that he put more details in the basement, I would bring more of that upstairs. All the bathrooms and kitchen need to be pulled from the '90s and I would go very old world, even a bit glam rustic. NO white ceilings or walls...there should be a law against that! As for the caves....... I'm stumped. It would have been just as cool and even more authentic under a real castle to have brick and stone walls and ceiling and I would have had it lead to a stone small pool or hot tub that looked like it was carved from the underground rock with a water fall. Other than hide and seek, I find it has no purpose but sooooo much detail went into it, it should lead somewhere, no? And btw, I swear I thought I saw a cloaked figure standing in one of the arches in the caves when you were nervously touring it!! haha I could go on for days, but I'm sure no one wants to hear all that!! But one thing that is missing in a huge way which you pointed out is a pool. I have toured castled all over Europe and you just don't find any, unless they are rubble that doesn't have several water features....the moat is fabulous! It may need some fixing up, I think it may have some leaks but once it's filled must look just amazing!! I live in a 100 year old castle in downtown Montreal (I share it with several other people!! lol) and it doesn't have a darn moat!! Nor draw bridge which really bugs me!! haha But I would have expected some fountains, a reflecting pool, Lilly pond and a natural pool that looks like it's been there for hundreds of years with a waterfall instead of a typical pool with chemicals and sterile etc... And where was the hedge maze? Vine tunnel, geometric gardens, stable, orchards? haha I'm just kidding!! But all in all, the place is stunning and has huge potential and for that price!!! Wow!! That is a total steal!! I wish I could buy it, I would have a field day with it!! But I'm born on Halloween and get mistaken for a vampire often so it's no wonder this place is right up my alley!! haha I hope someone snatches it up quick and breathes some much needed life back into it!! Thanks so much for the tour!!

It amazes me that a home like this could remain on the market for an entire day at that price, especially when you consider that there are some rather Plain Jane properties the size of a postage stamp (in comparison) in places like San Francisco, Seattle, and NYC that sell for equivalent prices, and often times more. It's hard to wrap my mind around the fact that there are 1,600 sq. ft. 2 bedroom condos that fetch that kind of money, when something like this could be had for the same price.

I like the detail you show exterior etc.. cool bars at door. Love hidden rooms . Millions needed to update. Horrific eall paper. Gut bathrooms. Mirror on fridge door! Mirrored walls. All has to go. Hate the glass doors bathroom. Poor prince james. That red. However cool bedroom 4 a kid.
