I just wanted to comment and say how you have inspired my 9year old daughter. For some reason KZbin wasn’t notifying me of your uploads for a couple months and when it dawned on me I haven’t seen a video from you in a while, so Sunday afternoon while the house was quiet (napping) I decided to put your videos I’ve missed on the TV so I could relax with the sleeping baby. My 9 Year old Daughter came in and sat with me (because she heard the beautiful music in your video) and she was almost mesmerized by the video and seeing you clean so elegantly. She commented how beautiful you made cleaning look. After a little bit she got up and began cleaning up the little things that were out of place in our living room. And as she was walking back and forth (in her dress she was wearing from church) I could see she was walking differently, more gracefully. It was so cute! She was definitely inspired by Nikki!

Is wish I was as ladylike as you with your beautifully decorated and organized life. I’m not. I try, but it feels like an endless array of things to do just to keep the house tidy and food on the table. I’m a prepper. That probably doesn’t help. But I have started to wear dresses every day with an apron. And some lipstick. My husband comes home and says “you look pretty.” Haha. I have started to declutter paper. He shredded some last night and the shredder overheated. Ha! I guess that shows that I’m making progress. I pray that I can achieve the ladylike beauty that you exude. A dedicated drawer....brilliant! I have to tell you, when I was a girl (I'm about your mother's age, Nikki) my grandmother told me to always carry a red billfold because red attracts money. I'm not sure if that is a Southern thing or not, but I have a variety of red wallets, card cases, coin purses, etc, and always carry red!

#Mechele G I may be wrong but I think the colour Red is associated with China as is the theory of writing a signature. What I mean is that when you write your signature, see if you can end with the last letter pointing up. This to is supposed to attract money. Give it ago and see if it works for you. ❣️

Dear Nikki... I love this. I started cleaning out my handbag on Fridays after watching one of your older videos. What a difference that made and I didn’t feel a jumbled mess from cleaning it out occasionally. I found a lovely leather tan bag for Fall at thrift for $6. After watching this video I also found a few small zipper bags in colors to match my bag again for .50 at thrift. I think this just lifts the handbag up and makes me feel like the queen. This did inspire me, Ms. Nikki. And I thank you for the lovely thoughtfulness you clearly put into your videos. One item I always have in my purse is band aids. Not only for myself and my family but also anyone I encounter who might be in need of one or two. Can’t tell you how many times I shared them with another Momma whose little one had just gotten a “boo boo”. Nikki, if you really love your satchel purse from Aldo (@13:30) that strap can easily and reasonably be repaired by a shoe shop. I have salvaged many straps and also favorite belts that way. Your things are lovely. 🌸

Agreed, the edging on both bags can easily be done by the shoe repair, or, by you too! the edging is a product called Edge-Kote which you can buy from eBay or Amazon. Your local shoe repair shop might even sell it in colours called leather edging. I have both black and brown to fix my handles as they start to wear. It’s great if the handles or straps are still in good condition but just that edging is peeling.

If you can find such a place, yes. I grew up near an old school cobbler until he retired. I went to take my favorite dress shoes to get repaired one day only to discover a plumbing store had replaced it. I have yet to see anything else like it anywhere else I've lived 😢

I currently am a checker at a grocery store and I'm constantly telling people they don't have to rush to get out of the way. Most of the time, they give me a grateful smile and finish what they're doing. It leaves them feeling better, and honestly, the 30 seconds they take gives me 30 seconds to stretch my hands and take a drink before the next person.

When I carried a purse I had an organizer to keep everything together. All I had to do was remove it in and out of purses so easily. Bad shoulders stopped me from carrying a purse. I just keep a small bag in my car with necessities and carry my wallet.

I LOVE seeing what ladies carry in their bag! My favourite colour is black, as it's functional for work. I like structured style, rather than a huge hold all type. Unfortunately, I carry everything that could possibly be needed in any situation, ever. I don't buy expensive bags. I love the idea of a dedicated drawer, and also making the inside of the bag more aesthetically pleasing. I've used pouches inside my bag for years, but I don't find any of them pretty! Apparently, our glorious late Queen Elizabeth carried a tissue and some mint in her bag. She used the placement of the bag to signal to her aides what she wanted, for example if she wanted to finish speaking to people, etc.

Lovely. Last year I decided to make the contents of my handbag as lovely as the bag itself. I purchased a card case, pouchette, phone case, and zippered coin case all in the same shade of pale pink. The coin case is stamped with my name which is Nikki also. Whenever I change bags, it is so simple since all the smaller items are in the pouchette (hand sanitizer, a few bandaids, nail repair items, and my lipstick and gloss). My best friend gave me a gorgeous calendar and notebook combination with a loop to hold a pen in the same shade. Whenever, I open my bag it gives me a smile to see how lovely it all looks. I’ve had sales clerks comment on how pretty my purse looks inside.

Hands-free is why I prefer crossbody style. I don't want to worry about it falling off my shoulder or having to hold my arm a certain way or worry that I'll accidentally knock into something with it. Plus, crossbody is harder to swipe. Other styles are lovely and I find myself admiring them and the ladies carrying them, but they just don't work for me. Unfortunately.

Absolutely loved this video. Full of ideas from start to finish. I find that when out shopping; the person at the check-out will drop the receipt into a bag that I maybe using but worse to me is when I get change but don’t have the coinage, and have used a note of some kind; they count out the change if I am lucky, but then wrap it up in any notes that is included as well. I hate screwed up notes...there is just no need for untidiness of that kind. I love the colour of your ‘purses’...handbags to those in the UK. Your choice of purse would go with any outfit. The late Queen Elizabeth II mostly carried her ‘Launer’ black handbag always wore black shoes, although she has in the past been seen with a Mid-dark blue or a white one of the same type. Always matching her handbag colour to her shoes. As for what the Queen put in her bag , was similar to most ladies. A compact mirror, lipstick, mint lozenges and reading glasses. Never money. Something not known by many is that Queen Elizabeth used her handbag to send subtle messages to her staff. If she moved her handbag from her left arm to her right while she was talking to someone, her handlers knew that she wanted the conversation to be wrapped up. Putting her handbag on the floor was a sign that she needed to be ‘saved’ from an uncomfortable encounter ASAP. If she was at dinner and placed her handbag on the table, that meant she wanted to end the event in the next five minutes.....Who knew that a simple handbag could do so much!? 👏👏👏

I am organized, I just enjoy having things orderly. It’s nice having things easy to find. But I fail at my purse. It is orderly but I only clean it out like every two weeks. I keep receipts in my checkbook wallet and put any paperwork away at that time. I am going to give this a try. I use a small to medium size purse. I never fuel my car or wash it because my husband has handled that all the years we’ve been married. Don’t worry, he’s a very spoiled by me. I think the Queen didn’t need a lot. Like if she needed cash I’m sure someone brought it to her. She didn’t need insurance cards and such so a smaller purse worked very nicely for her. ~ Janet 😘

Beautiful Nikki! Because of pain, I’ve sized down to smallish purses; I carry my drivers license, credit card, iPhone, key fob, Gospel tracts, handkerchief and lip color. I have another tote I carry in my vehicle with other items I might need. This year, I have changed to using beautiful handkerchiefs instead of tissue; 95% of my sinus issues have disappeared; there are links between toxins in tissues and health issues; isn’t that amazing?!?

I do this too. I have a small purse for errands inside stores and a tote in the car with additional things that I need but not right now. I also use handkerchiefs. They’re incredibly soft. I got vintage looking ones at Ben Franklin. I iron my hankies.

I have four handbags that I rotate based on the season. They are: a pale lavender from Michael Kors that I use in the Spring, a blush pink tote-style bag from Michael Kors that I use in the Summer; a burgandy-colored leather Coach handbag that I use in Fall, and a forest green Michael Kors bag that I use in Winter. Each has a matching wallet, and I also have a small collection of zippered bags that I use for make-up and other essentials. I have a small drawer where I keep things like hand sanitizer, handkerchiefs, etc. that I use to restock my handbag. :)

Love this video. My purse looks similar to your ad far as compartments and what is in it. I always take the time to put away receipts and or cash. I like a tidy purse. Also, I do have a reset day Sunday and that’s when I clean out my purse. I also clean out my car every time we come home and are home for the day, pick up any trash or anything to go inside. 💐I really enjoyed this on purses!!! I agree on pink purses, I got one over a year ago from HSN, a Patricia Nash purse that is to die for! I have used it literally every day since I got it. When the handle starts wearing, or before, just wrap it round and round with a beautiful scarf. I very recently got just sick of the regular type of wallet where cards are just positioned all over the place. So I looked on Amazon and found a small zippered, pink of course, card holder that holds about 12 or more cards. I also put bills in one card section. If I get change back, I just throw it in my purse and immediately put in in. A change container when I get home. It’s so much easier than trying to remember what section I put whatever card in. 😊❤️🌸

Loved everything about this. One piece of advice I heard (though I cannot recall from whom) was to make sure a purse was appropriate for the occasion. So, if one were wearing workout gear and headed out afterward for a quick errand, a backpack purse might look more appropriate. To me, if a lady is into self-improvement and looking to dress with intent this advice was great. And, I found it to be true; I didn't particularly like backpack purses (I am more of a satchel girl), but with the right outfit it really looked like it was intentional. Cheers!

I pay for everything with my Discover card so that is all I take with me into stores, well also a kleenex. Most of my clothes have pockets so I put them in there and my hands are free and I'm not always worried someone might grab my purse. These days store security guards are instructed to not stop robbers so I don't even know what they are doing there by the door. At our local market the guard told me he watches the same guy walk in everyday and walk out with a 12 pk. of beer without paying and he's been instructed to stand down. I love this video. One thing I keep in mind for purchasing a wallet is not just how it looks, I also want it to have the RFID in it to protect my ID and cards from being scanned. With the new Real ID cards they are now electronic and are scannable so this will protect those as well.

Bonjour Nikki, All your bags are lovely and everything perfectly organised in them 🙂Blush is very pretty! My favourite handbag colours are cream, navy blue, and camel/cognac/tan, depending on my outfits and the seasons. Sometimes black, in winter or for a formal event. I also have a red one. My everyday bags always have an outside zipped pocket at the back, for my keys so that I don't have to open my back to get them. This is also where I put my receipts, to remove them easily once at home. A little tip: I find that removing the code bar labels from beautiful lipsticks and other beauty products make them look more elegant when you get them out of your bag 👛💄🙂

I like this. Thank you for these suggestions. My takeaways that I will definitely implement are to make sure I enjoy how my bag looks on the inside and out. Each compartment should be a pleasure to see. I'm going to have a wallet that can hold receipts and the compartment for trash. May I suggest a nice lace handkerchief you can get some nice ones on Amazon embroidered with flowers it looks so much nicer than using a tissue my mother told me a well dressed lady also always had a handkerchief

Yes, I have them but keep them in my pocket as I don’t use paper tissues, they are for my husband or the kids. I learned long ago never to keep a paper tissue in my pocket. The handkerchiefs I have are from antique shops, I love them🌹

This was a pure delight!! I really related to your story of when you started carrying a purse as a girl and how it felt like a rite of passage for you. I felt the exact same way! My mother's purse was always a magical thing for me and I always admired not only the purse, but just how clearly important it was. It's so true that once you get your own purse as a young lady, you really feel like you have crossed some sort of threshold from being a child to being a woman. Ah! I just loved this whole conversation and I loved seeing all of your purses and little containers and how co ordinated it all was. I loved the idea of having a purse drawer. That's what I need to do. That would make it so easy to stay organized and not feel the need to carry every single thing in my purse all of the time. I too have struggled with the perfect purse size and this idea would help me to go a bit smaller. (What a treat to see my quote at the end! I was so honoured!)

You had many good ideas I do most of them except 2 garbage area in purse and place to put purse belongings I will do these thanks just some friendly advice not all of us had good training might have cars , homes , and purses less tidy and your shining example can be intimidating LOL yet we love a true proverbial 31 woman

I love the style of purse you wear, the Aldo and Kate Spade...it reminds me the Alma bag (Louis Vuitton), such a classic style. I loved your last tip, about taking the time to put the money in the wallet before leaving the store. Just last week I was rushing to put my money into my purse on the street, I felt very unsafe. I will follow this tip from now on.

I love me a good what’s in my purse/handbag/pocketbook. My daughter isn’t really into purses but I really hope she does. Let me start by saying I loved everything about your video. I have one piece of advice: get a much, much smaller wallet. That way you could actually close up your purse. I made the change about 10 years ago. I have a TINY card Case for loyalty cards separate from the wallet but 99% of the time, the wallet is all I need.
