I am currently enjoying a later rising time. Its the season of life for me where this just makes sense. Oddly, I still get the same things accomplished.... Perhaps because of the blessing of homeschool and bigger hands doing big things, maybe a little less on my lists. 😍 the joys of the teen years! I am also enjoying my husband being home for breakfasts together!! Used to it was only coffee. I make my dresses fit my body. 🤣 because 40 has altered my shape a bit, not noticeable to others but i can tell. Sewing my own dresses allows me the luxury of a nip here, a tuck there and a let out in other places. I am enjoying that my 8 year old enjoys tidying and wiping down the bathroom. 4 people in a tiny washroom can really wreck it! She goes in twice a day and tidies up and i will revel in that for as long as it lasts!

Hi Nikki having watched you all these years this video was well written and showed your growth. Yes every season changes, every year we grow more and eventually we have wisdom and life experience. I’m now in that season of life. I may not have children at home and wake up at 4 am to go to the gym BUT I still wake up early and move my body to maintain it as strong as long as I can by doing my morning yoga. I too get to watch the sunrise as I drink my morning cup of Joe lol. Now, as an empty nester, in my new season of life, I’m so happy to see the young ladies I follow on KZbin spreading the word of being feminine and mothers, wearing dresses and yet still do something for you. ​@@TheLadyoftheHouse Yes!! That's why I'm slowly replacing all the light bulbs and lights in the rental we are in. I want soft, warm, golden light, not harsh, cold "daylight" LEDs. There are so many studies out there on lighting and how it affects us (in many ways) so it's extra incentive to invest in better lighting. It's a slow process but each new phase of it yields *instant* results. I'd wondered about the light in your china cabinet, actually. Whether it was only on while filming or not. My guess was correct 😊

Do your children and husband go to bed at 8 pm also? Some of our children, my husband and I take an 8 pm bike ride to enjoy the sunset; this is part of my fall 15 minutes morning, 15 minutes afternoon and 25 minutes daily workouts. This is our 24th year of home education and our 4 oldest have all started their own businesses. How did I end up in a household of night owls? ☺️

Yes, they all get up early so an early bedtime is a must! We take a walk around 7pm as the sun sets because by 7:30pm it's getting pretty dark. Once back, it's time to get ready for bed. Thank you for sharing!

I love the comment make the body fit to the dress instead of the dress hitting the body. I love getting up early and starting my day and usually start with a walk with my dog and sometimes with a friend. I know longer have children to make breakfast for us, but I still get comments of her mom will you make blueberry pancakes With homemade syrup. But I must admit I love sunsets just as much as I do sunrises because I love to look what I have accomplished for the day. We can look accomplished have a wonderful day

I’m up by 6:30 but I’m just not with it. I’m naturally a night person. I’ve tried through the years to change that but even if I’m up my mind is asleep. My Mother in law laughs at me when she visits because she is a morning person. She says I’m actually shaking in the morning. 🤣. Lovely video ~ Janet 😘

Each person is different. My body naturally wakes up around 3:30am. It's best to do what is right for you, never feel bad about that.

Hi Nikki, I was wondering if, as the weather gets cooler if you could share feminine nightwear options. Over here most nightwear during winter months looks too masculine for my liking. Is there certain qualities we should look for in feminine winter nightwear?

I just added a new feminine pajama set to my shop. This would be something I would wear if I was in a place that was really cold. You could also layer under a nightgown, leggings or warmer pants. Maybe a flannel gown would be in order. Don't suffer for the temperature. Invest in a good housecoat as well.
