Thank you for your insight Captain. I realised later when I asked you about passengers - of course you don't due to your cargo - doh! (Homer Simpson stylee) Have you found yourself busier due to what's happening in Russia and Ukraine? Are you called Master after the Royal Navy? Junior Captains were called Master and Commander until they were a Flag Captain. Obviously different in ranking in merchant ships, no such thing as a Flag Captain. Master and Commander : Far side of the World (starring Russell Crowe) was based on books by Patrick O' Brien. The Aubrey and Maturin series are brilliant.

Assalamu'alaikum Captain, Thank you for sharing your daily routines on the ship. I sometimes imagine that time must pass slowly during cruising mode and loading/unloading operations. How do you spend your time? Do your family members ever complain about the long periods you are away from home? When your ship docks at the basecamp or your home country, how long are you able to take leave? What is the farthest distance you have ever traveled? Has your ship ever been to Indonesia? Thank you for the video; I will follow your other videos as well. Wa'alaikum salam.🤝💪☕️🍵☕️🍨🍜

Hello Captain, Do you have any particular advices how to get on LNG ships? I am on my way to become 3rd mate. I am from Poland and so far have 9months expierience on oil/chemical tankers. I tried many ways to get on LNG but without success. I know that I shoud be in right time and place but I don't have luck so far. Could you kindly advise on the steps I should take to position myself for opportunities on LNG vessels? All the best!

well to be specific.. I've tried all european agencies, linkedin, websites offering job etc. I have really good appraisals from my previous vessels and I didn't get even one answer. Maybe I am a little desperate, but I have feeling that I have to try every possible way to follow my dream

@MustaphaZehhaf I have a query. Could you please answer to my question? My name is Raihanul Islam, and I am a 30-year-old graduate in Computer Science and Engineering from Bangladesh. I have always been interested in the merchant marine industry and wanted to enroll in a Deck Rating course/B.Sc. in Nautical Science course. However, the age limit of 25 in Bangladesh makes me ineligible, so I am exploring options internationally. I was wondering if you could advise me on whether such courses are available for someone my age and if completing one would open up opportunities to work on merchant ships. Any guidance you can provide would be incredibly helpful. May Allah (SWT) reward you with goodness.
