With an official time of 6.43.616 minutes for the 20.6 kilometer long track and 6.48.047 minutes for the entire track of 20.832 kilometers, the Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series is officially the fastest production car on the Nürburgring!
With the help of our vehicle experts, we go into detail to discuss the importance of proper vehicle setup for a record breaking lap time in the Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series. In this episode, Felix talks with Dirk, the head of tire development, about fine-tuning high-performance tyres. Like the rest of the car, the tyres must deliver top performance at all times. Markus, vehicle dynamics engineer at Mercedes-AMG, is an expert for vehicle development. He shows us the important key differences between the Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series and the Mercedes-AMG GT R. Later, race driver and AMG Brand Ambassador Maro Engel explains how fine-tuning the vehicle for optimal downforce is critical in order to save precious time on the track.

I don’t know why but the grill makes the car look like a shark. It’s the same as other Mercedes cars. But this car is the most beautiful car I have ever seen.
