As an Indian Hindu Bengali whose paternal side belongs to Bangladesh ,what I really love about Bangladesh is that despite following Islam , what I really about them is that they still follow Bengali ethnicity ,such as wearing sari , eating mutton and fish curry and many of the veggies which only a Bengali would know about ! As a British Bangladeshi, whenever I go to my parents village in syhlet there are Muslims and Hindus living and working side by side, peacefully. I don't see any difference between them or the way I communicate with them ( except when greeting). One of my dad's friend is a hindu, he has a Bangladeshi passport and never been to India or knows anyone there. I attended his sons wedding 4 years ago and there were both Muslims and Hindus attending. I may not have grown up in Bangladesh or visit it regularly, but I know this for a fact, not all Bengali Hindus live in India or are loyal to it and are proud Bangladeshis.
