Deep in China's Fengjie County lies a natural wonder that has fascinated experts for decades.
The Xiaozhai Tiankeng sinkhole is vast. Probably formed centuries ago by collapsing caves and underground rivers, teams of explorers have sought to understand its many mysteries for years.

Imagine how big the caverns under the surface of the sinkhole were before it collapsed, absolutely mental to think of the amount of land that fell

I think they were huge ancient trees..they were petrified and now they decayed leaving behind a circle..those caves were the root system

@@ladyJustis If they were petrified trees, there wouldn't be any decay anymore. When wood becomes petrified, it basically turns into stone. Sinkholes are holes in the ground that form due to cavities forming under the surface and then collapsing

I remember watching a video that said that china had bigger pyramids than that in Egypt, and they covered them all up with grass and trees. at 0:25 it looks like that's the area. I wonder if it is, because if so, there was already a lot of mystery surrounding it. Either way, this is so incredible.

if you had a realistic play landscape with caverns as shown but before it collapsed in, or as they claimed a meteorite had hit it. If you were to place huge amounts of water on top, wouldn't it cave in if water was able to pass through the caverns below, since the land above the cavern would be the weakest link. Every culture spoke of a worldwide flood cataclysms. You cannot share legends like such if it ain't universally real. No other culture speaks of any other cultures legends, however all universally spoke of a worldwide flood, recorded as to cover the highest peaks of the world. That is a lot of weight for this little land to carry if it was above the caverns at the time.

My concern about anything found in China that might contain unknown animal species is bluntly.. they would shield them away from ever being known about and eaten by their people who continue to be allowed to eat endangered animals with no consequence. Lemur, Golden Snub Nose Monkey, South China Tiger, Asian Elephant, Sumatran Rhinoceros... The red market trade for rare animal species is vile and the whole world should hold them accountable.
@rabbitazteca23

excuse me but China has more biodiversity than the US and Canada COMBINED and it is THANKS to China that these species are documented. For your information, China has been spearheading many efforts to explore the country's undiscovered biodiversity and place certain animals in protections list that has fines of upwards of 15,000 dollars if people were found to be violating the animals on that list. China is taking care of its biodiversity JUST FINE, THANK YOU VERY VERY MUCH!!!
