Inside Hive Hammock Stand

Check out a one-hammock setup in our final prototype of Hive Hammock Stand. We’ve got our YOBOgear camp furniture and a hammock under the tarp, making for a very luxurious hammock camping experience! As spacious an area as she provides, Hive packs down small and is easily portable for all hammock camping adventures. We are so excited to get this hammock stand into customers’ hands this summer. 😊

I just received my Hive and it was a regular order, not a kickstarter / indiegogo. It is very interesting. I use it indoors in a bedroom that is 10 feet 8 inches. It took some special setup to do, but I got it all together and holding my Haven. (I bought a Hive because I couldn't wait for the Cricket redesign and the Turtlebug won't go long enough inside the bedroom due to the tripods.) To be honest, I'm glad I went for the Hive anyways because it isn't *that* much bigger than the old Cricket, so it gives lots of options.. like the big living-room when out camping. Two nights in, so far, so good.

yall got me sold on a Hive. Been looking at the Cricket for years but couldnt justify the cost for so little "interior" space with a tarp. This is practically a mobile apartment that fits on a backpack. I generally truck camp where trees are not guaranteed, but even car camping I want minimal space taken up in the vehicle just in case I dont have the truck to haul my plumbing supply homebuilt hammock stand. One thing I am hoping to see is a bug net that goes all the way to the ground surrounding the hammocks. It can be a tarp extension or doorway. I will likely set one up myself for this rig even if you dont. But mine will likely just drape over the entire stand for ease of creation. Yours would likely be a bit more refined. Bug nets for hammocks either forget that biters go through hammock material or are extremely dificult to enter/exit. I am eagerly awaiting the release even if I know my wallet isnt.

Thank you! Glad Hive is something that will work for you. DutchWare is designing a screen room with a floor just for Hive that will be large enough to go around two hammocks. It will be available for sale when the Kickstarter fulfillment is complete. You can still snag Hive for a discount on Indiegogo until we have her in stock. (Few more weeks). Seems a real opportunity here is to have Dutch work up a side entry tarp option, or even better, a dual side entry option - on opposite sides.

Is it possible to have the tarp go over the whole hive, so it is more of a canopy than down low to the ground?
