Rainfly Set-Up on Hive Hammock Stand using the DutchWare Hive Tarp

Watch our method for setting a rainfly on our Hive Hammock Stand in both storm mode and porch mode. In this video, we are using the ‪@dutch3323‬ Hive Tarp with a two-hammock set-up.
This is a tree-less, stake-less hammock camp set-up, made possible by our free-standing hammock stand. The Hive Tarp is specially outfitted with custom zippered slots to accommodate hanging two hammocks side by side.
All hammock tarps vary in set-up procedures based on size, shape, hardware, and personal preferences. The purpose of this video is to offer a basic outline only, with plenty of freedom to improvise to your liking. You may choose a shorter or longer tarp, with or without internal pole mods. You may also choose to hang a single hammock on Hive. Hive offers many options for accommodating your set-ups.

Thanks for putting this together! I’ve learned that you can stake the tarp corners down when not on rocky ground, and if you go straight down, you don’t have to worry about the tarp sides rubbing against the cross brace cordage. Definitely recommended in higher winds.
