What I love about Sophie (I've been following her channel for several years) is not only her luxurious taste, but also her amazing personality. Most designers I've seen feeling proud of themselves for the design, like "Look what I've done to this place, I'm so smart!" but just from this video, you know how much Sophie loves her clients. For example, I normally don't like when a wooden shelf was painted, but she did it at her client's request and still managed to pick the best way to achieve that

Just noticed that comments are deleted if they express a dislike or hold a negative stance for a particular design. It wasn’t even my own comment but I saw the comment disappear live (someone commented that the design looked too cluttered). Not nice that we have lost all sorts of freedoms to express our opinions! I adore SP designs personally ; but I’m disappointed with the Home show for deleting comments that don’t suit their agenda.
@janetroberts76144 ай бұрын
There’s a bit of criticism in the comments. I think it might be because some of the comments are just nasty and repetitive over and over again-people not only not liking the design but also dumping on the whole project without offering any useful point of view.
@francisd.s80404 ай бұрын
@@janetroberts7614 I agree, but the comment I saw being deleted wasn’t disrespectful, it was a mere negative comment. I think when you put yourself out there to teach others how to do something, you should also accept that others may disagree with your choices and may wish to express that publicly. I don’t thinks it’s about silencing people that genuinely wanted to add their opinion. Now, when it comes to rude viewers, 0 tolerance.
@shannoncook99154 ай бұрын
Hmm....I notice a negative comment but not rude
@robb61704 ай бұрын
If they had nothing nice to say, they should not have said anything😃. It may not be their taste, but no one asked their opinion. The overall design is fantastic, some of it may work for some and some may not... you get the idea and tailor it to your needs. Toxic comments are definitely not appreciated.
@kgalvin75034 ай бұрын
@@robb6170 I respectfully disagree. As long as the comment is made respectfully, it should be left alone. The whole point of social media is community engagement and commentary. It’s part of the social contract: if you post content for a public audience, you are then opening yourself to feedback from that audience. I think this is especially important for the arts. Art is all about provoking dialog and discourse. It is not meant for passive consumption. If you are an artist or a creator and you can’t handle criticism, you are in the wrong field…

I just recently learned about this interior designer (I’m a newbie to the industry and currently learning) and I really love her style. I have to say that I do agree with some of the comments about the home being a bit cluttered but I personally only see that in a room or two and it gives me maximalist vibes which some people like that style of design in their homes so I could see why it may not be favorable for some like myself because I personally don’t like clutter. But overall this space is amazing and clearly being that she’s a renowned designer her work is clearly worth learning from so fantastic job! Bravo! 👏🏾❤️

OG MY GOD. I love this channel. I recently moved into a new home so watching this video brought back some lovely memories. So I live in Dubai and guess what we cant do? Put wallpapers on our wardrobe. I spoke to multiple people and they all warned me against it. Anyway, beautiful design. Loved every corner of this house. I loved the 4 poster style bed and the seating in the living spaces and THE KITCHEN... made me want to get into cooking. Fab job Sophie. I watch many of your videos and you can consider me a fan. Thank you for creating such beautiful spaces. The interior designer said that her client wanted the "best home in London". While that could be difficult to decide, I think this is one of the most luxurious homes in London -- and likely one of the most expensive ones as well. It showcases not only the expertise of the interior designer and her team, but also the wealth of the owner of this mansion.

Interiors for people who don’t care about interiors, who have neither the time, the interest or the love to invest in choosing anything of meaningful authentic value, rather the question, and only question is the value of resale post refurb. Axel Vervoordt’s ethos on the luxury of humility is what it’s really about- when the divine enters the room and the space becomes sacred

There are too many arm chairs and too much going on in the living room. It doesn't feel relaxed. There's a lot of stuff on the walls. Nice decorative pieces but there are too many of them. My advice would be to keep things simple and coherent. It's hard to understand the theme but I guess if the client is happy with the house, that's the most important thing. I wouldn't say it's the best house in London. The kitchen is simpler but I'm not sure about the artificial plants. A nice vase with fresh flowers would be better. The rooms are quite dark in general because the furniture that have been chosen are quite dark. The lighting is really important to me and I feel like it would make the house seem a lot bigger, nicer and welcoming. My score for this house would be 5/10.
