i’ve always wondered what are those foam block dampeners inside the drums?

Acoustic foam. I think it’s mainly for dampening the ringing. You still get the natural feel of the drum head but it tends to sound less ringy and overplayed and instead you get a nice short boom sound

it’s just a sticker with wrinkles photoshopped on, the wrinkles aren’t real
