@Ararat Symbol of Armenia Azerbaijan or Azarbaijan, also known as Iranian Azerbaijan, is a historical region in northwestern Iran that borders Iraq, Turkey, the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Armenia, and the Republic of Azerbaijan. Iranian Azerbaijan includes three northwestern Iranian provinces: West Azerbaijan, East Azerbaijan and Ardabil. The region is mostly populated by Azerbaijanis, with minority populations of Kurds, Armenians, Tats, Talysh, Assyrians and Persians. Following military defeats at the hands of the Russian Empire, Qajar Persia ceded all of its territories in the North Caucasus and Transcaucasia to Russia via the Treaty of Gulistan of 1813 and the Treaty of Turkmenchay of 1828. The territories south of the Aras River, which comprised the region historically known as Azerbaijan, became the new north-west frontier of the Persian Empire and later Iran.

But they didn't die. martyrs are immortal, immortals do not cry. I witnessed the war. It was an incomprehensible pain for an 11-year-old girl. @Ararat Symbol of Armenia Shavrov "A new threat to the Russian cause in the Transcaucasus" By the time of arrival in the region in 1897, the newly appointed commander-in-chief of Prince G.S. Golitsin, there were no longer 10,000 newcomers as in 1894, but about 90,000. The relations of Prince Golitsin about them, their expulsion did not lead to anything - the Turks did not accept them, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was not persistent enough and as a result it was announced to these Armenians that everyone who did not accept Russian citizenship (?!) Would be expelled by force. Of course, everyone accepted Russian citizenship and disappeared into the Armenian population. The example of the Armenians of that time did not remain without followers - after this period, the influx from Asia Minor continues, and at present there are about 35,000 Armenian families in the Kars region alone, striving to obtain state land for settlement. Among the Armenians, a certain number of Aysors, as well as Muslims (in the Baku province), moved to our borders, but the largest number of settlers falls to the Armenians: for example, out of 1,300 of Armenians living in Transcaucasia, more than 1,000,000 soul the number of indigenous people of the region and settled by us. How large the number of Armenians who have migrated to us over the past 13 years can be seen from the comparison of the following two figures: in 1896, Gen.-ad. Sheremetin in his Most Subject Memorandum determines the number of Armenians living in Transcaucasia, about 900,000 people, and in 1908 there were already 1,300,000 souls of both sexes, that is, during this time they increased by no less than 400,000 people. If we exclude the natural increase, it turns out to be Armenians. what we have instilled in 13 years over 300,000

Imagine that you turned up to a certain citizen X and demand from him that he give you his house, the land on which this house is, only because your great-great-great-grandfather lived on it, without having any official documents on the right of ownership in his hands. this land. What do you think, even if the neighbors remember that “yes, your grandparent could once have lived here,” even if you have a photo of your relative on this Earth, the court will rule in your favor or in favor of citizen X, who has documents for this property? all official documents confirm that these lands belong to Azerbaijan Each state has internationally recognized borders, they cannot be violated, otherwise there will be chaos.

So here guys we can observe ppl with arrogant, sassy qualities who missed the point of the whole video. Cuz obviously he said that he knows that there are 2 sides of this conflict, and he also pointed that one day he would definitely visit Armenia, and listen to that side of the conflict. Hence, you guys better watch the video throughtfully before making a "fair" statement. Cuz that is a strong one you made.

Resettlement of Armenians to the lands of Adderbidzhan (Glinka) 1831 An unexpected influx of people in the newly conquered areas produced a shortage of bread in them. At this time, Lazarev received an order to try to direct the path of the settlers, instead of the Khanates of Nakhichevan and Yerivansky, to the Khanate of Karabakh, where, according to assumptions, it was expected that the reserves here were abundant and reliable.

And You forgot one paramount thing Sumqayit pogroms. armenians are going to play a victim (as always) without telling the truth that those pogroms were committed by Eduard Grigoryan who was armenian . And Azerbaijanis were also killed in those pogroms. Eduard was supported by KGB . And before those pogroms armenia started the ethnic cleansing in which more than 300000 Azerbaijanis were displaced from armenia. Btw, let's not forget that Khojaly tragedy were committed both by Russia and armenia.
@zeynbxalilzad43733 жыл бұрын
@@johnd2550 Azerbaijanis are Caucasians, not Turkified Iranians. I agree that majority of our population was Turkified but we also still have real Turks who have Asian appearance (they are descendants of Qizilbashs and other Turkic peoples). Azerbaijan gathered a lot of ethnicites due to its location (as a door between Europe and Asia). The same as Turks in Turkey nowadays, majority of them are actually Greeks who stayed there since times of Byzantine empire, and we are more Turks than they from this side. And actually Ottomans did not think of themselves as of Turks, they were speaking Farsi and hated Turks (Qizilbashs, one of our ancestors) and mostly included Arabs, Iranians and Balkan peoples. Turkic nationalism was born after Ataturk (I think there was its own benefit and it was made in order to make Arabs leave the country because Turkic peoples and Arabs always were fighting during the history). Do you know that before Turkey Azerbaijan had the same flag? Remember the Sefevid empire and Kadjar Iran? Well, let's skip it. And, yes, actually most of Azerbaijanis are descendants of Caucasian Albania and Atropatena so you can't say that Azerbaijan didn't exist before (it took its name from Atropatena). Regarding DNA, we are Caucasians and it is natural to have some Armenian genes, the same as Armenians have our genes, because of close neighbourship we often had mixed families. But nowadays nationality is defined not by genes, but by the language and culture. So Azerbaijanis have a full right to call themselves Turks, even genetically being mostly Caucasians, they speak Turkic language and made their really big contribution to its culture. I mean, for example, if a Jew speaks Arabic and follows Islam, he can be considered as Arab despite his genes and origin. I'm against this war between us, but look at who started it? Armenian nationalists. We were living in peace before because we are the closest peoples and countries. I don't know, maybe a "third face" provoked Armenians to start it, but I know that as long as we have this situation in Caucasus, we won't be able to grow as a steong country. Someone else really doesn't want it and manipulate with both of us.

This exactly. There's no way in the world one can justify Armenian side in this conflict because they inflicted so much damage to the ethnic Azerbaijanis during the war in 1990s. Hundreds of thousands civilians expelled, thousands killed... Look up Khojaly massacre. Out of 8 and something million people living in Azerbaijan back then, in the 1990s, 1 million was refugees from Armenia and later from Karabakh. I am not even talking about occupation and whose land it is historically and juridicaly. I am only talking about humanitarian catastrophe inflicted on civilian Azerbaijani people by the Armenian side.
