If Charles was man enough he would’ve told his mother he was marrying Camilla and not Diana. If he loved Camilla he would’ve threatened to abdicate or abdicate and go off to live his life, but he doesn’t and he’s working overtime to have it both ways. Charles did not propose to or give any indication that he wanted to marry Camilla before he left for naval duty. Also, it was Camilla's and Andrew's parents who publically announced the engagement Andrew was, more or less, informed, by his father that "you will marry her."

There was at least two obvious factors why Charles couldn't marry Camilla when they met. One was people who had absolutely no business in a position to make that decision, the other was the Queen Mother.

However, it is possible that she knew the true parentage of Camilla's grandmother Sonia Rosemary Cubitt, OBE, (née Keppel) If Edward vii was Sonia's father that would make Charles and Camilla very close cousins. The Cubitt - Shands (Camilla's parents) were wealthy and in the Royal family's social set (although not titled) Camilla was friends with Princess Anne as well as with Prince Charles, before she married Andrew Parker- Bowles (who was a pal of Prince Charles) After their marriage, Camilla and Andrew were invited to Balmoral as well as to Windsor Castle on a regular basis.

So she didn’t want her husband to cheat and felt the pain and the cheating with a younger girls husband while she is even pregnant and so on, plus interacting with the girl when she knew what she was doing. Do your research and yes Diana was human… surprise! So she wasn’t perfect but every account from the things she did for her friends and the rest of the world. She was a loving, warm woman.

How hard is it for people to understand that Queen Consort is a rank NOT a title. The corresponding title is Queen (i.e. Queens Alexandra, Mary, Elizabeth TQM, and every wife of a reigning King before) which IS in line with QEll's wish, not to mention law. Also, Harry's new "truth" is 'factually inconsistent' with decades of documentation of him singing her praises (maybe investigate and call Harry out on that?). He himself said he was unaware of Camilla until a year after Diana's death so 'tapes and seeing what was going on then' was not the problem. There was harmony in the family until Meghan came along. And he aims EVERYONE else is now the problem?

If Diana had lived there wouldn't be this fetishizing of her. She'd be over 60 now and would have probably upset the fairytale crowd by marrying a foreigner, maybe even a Muslim and probably even have had more children. As for Harry, I am convinced that a lot of his obsession with his mother is due to repressed anger with her. Anger for the Bashir interview and the ridicule he and William had to go through at school because of it, anger that instead of being home with them she was on a yacht and later in Paris with Dodi, anger at the histionics and over sharing they lived through with their mother, and then finally, anger that she got into a car with a drunk driver and didn't wear a seatbelt. Also, couple that with the guilt of not having come to the phone that last time she called them just before the accident. So King Charles loved Camilla so much then he should have married her many years ago before she got married to her first husband. He wanted to. His marriage to Diana was arranged by their respective grandmothers because of their friendship and royal protocol on virgin brides. He and Diana only met about 10 times before their wedding. He tried to love her and understand her interests and emotional zig-zagging but they had absolutely nothing in common and were totally mismatched. Non-stop media attention about them as a fairytale can't have helped. Above all it was incredibly sad. Both were victims of this arranged nightmare. Camilla's ex-husband treated her quite badly too. Charles didn't become romantically involved with Camilla again until Diana's affair with Barry Manakee. It wasn't the only affair she had and even Dodi was engaged to someone else when Diana started seeing him. None of them were angels but the Charles-Camilla relationship wasn't the nasty, callous affair that it's made out to be by the tabloids and the Diana cult. Nor was Diana herself blameless. Camilla is a perfect royal: down-to-Earth, unfussy, never complaining, never overshadowing Charles, no attention-seeking with the media, a strong country background and rural interests. She has no particular interest in glitz and glamour and appears to endure it for the sake of her love for Charles. Still his side after years of the most vile bullying and abuse without so much as a whisper of whinging about her treatment. Theirs is the true love story, however flawed and whatever mistakes were made. People need to move on. I think she will make a fine Queen. Even the old guard Royals realised 30 years too late that Charles and Camilla should've been allowed to marry in the first place.

Also camilla married Andrew. So she was a married woman even before he proposed to Diana. That’s really said to be the reason he knew he had to pick another girl. And to make it worse Camilla was said to show at the house of her husbands mistress it got heated and she crashed a car. So she didn’t want her husband to cheat and felt the pain and the cheating with a younger girls husband while she is even pregnant and so on, plus interacting with the girl when she knew what she was doing. Do your research and yes Diana was human… surprise! So she wasn’t perfect but every account from the things she did for her friends and the rest of the world. She was a loving, warm woman.

All wives of the King are Queen Consort and are called Queen their name. It has been so long since there was a Queen Consort, people just don't remember. Queen Camilla is the Queen Consort. I think she's great. Queen Diana would have been a great Queen Consort but it wasn't to be. You can't live in the past or in a what might of been world. Diana is dead and won't be coming back. However, Diana is an icon and will be known forever. Diana was the one parading her lovers in front of and around her kids (James Hewett and Will Caring come to mind). She had her men stay overnight with her sons in the house. Imagine what those boys thought of their mother being with men who weren't their father. I disagree... Diana was clearly far more interested in the trappings of being the future queen and was a mastermind in courting the media for her advantage. Camilla strikes me as a grounded, level-headed, unpretenious person who has suffered a great deal to end up marrying the man she loves. She doesn't even care if you don't like her, she just quietly does the work, not expecting adoration and fame.
