Inside Mr Bongo's new record shop

One of the most respected and prolific purveyors of Brazilian, Latin, and African music around, reissue label Mr Bongo opened a new shop in Brighton earlier this year, and we just had to have a look.

Glad you have a new shop. Used to love the Soho shop, Huw 72 is the man! ..funny you saying it was to grimey 😂 haha! Brighton re-issue buying hipsters would definitely not have felt at home! 😂 also visited the short lived Tokyo shop in 2000? great shop, all bamboo as I recall ...weirdly reminded me of Tenko but I didn't mention it 😂 ..big ups to Gareth, lovely fella. Respect for your years in the game. Will pop in next time I'm back in the UK 💥👊💥

i love the gritty store flava..with hidden gems on the ground, and the underground flave... this looks waaaay to hipster to me, but i guess itz the way to go if you want to survive in these days...

indyvinylz Brighton is Hipster middle-class central, no doubt its why they moved there, the prices will be at the top end. A pity they gave up on the Hip Hop, they had some of the best independent Hip Hop records around.
