You may think it's bs but if you read books by Anna Politovskaya and Khassan Baiev you will see that the same things happened in Chechnya and Dagestan. In fact some of the torture witnessed by a doctor, Khassan Baiev, were even worse, objects inserted into anuses, for example.. Torture is standard practice in the Russian army. However, if you don't want to believe it, you're free to do so. If, on the other hand you want to know the truth, read books by people who witnessed it , risking their life. Like Anna Politovskaya who was killed for exposing what happened in Chechnya. And, I suggest, you stop believing Kremlin propaganda that tries to convince people that they are good people, victims even.
