The spring clamps! All of the spring clamps! It’s the star on top of the tree. Awesome video, nice work.

I normally don't comment on KZbin videos but I just have to say this. I followed a link from Jay Bate's KZbin page on accident and one of your videos happened to catch my attention so I started watching. Your videos put me to sleep, and I mean that in a good way. For the past few nights I throw a playlist of your videos on and fall asleep. You have the perfect background music, your voice over sounds very smooth, and most importantly the audio on your videos doesn't "jump" like crazy. On some KZbinr's channels its hard to hear the speaker but then when you raise the volume your ears are blasted out by them turning on their saw. So the composition is really well done. After seeing how cool this project was I had to get out bed, read some reviews, and now I'm sitting here ordering a lathe lol. Thanks for the inspiration!!

Wow! Thanks for watching and have fun with that lathe.

Awesome job, Shawn! The Padauk will make you look like an Oompa Loompa if you aren't careful. Ask me how I know... Haha! I made my wife a clipboard out of Purple Heart and Padauk. I love how those woods compliment each other.

Did you apply any finish to the inside before you glued it up?
@StoneandSonsWorkshop7 жыл бұрын
Not on that one. I remembered on the next one I did, but i didn’t record it. Lol.

Shawn, I enjoyed the artsy tone of this video.i t is a good change of pace. On the finished ornament, there seems to be less contrast between the woods. Is that real or an effect of the photography?
@StoneandSonsWorkshop7 жыл бұрын
Thanks! The Purple Heart lightened up quite a bit. Not sure why.

Cool concept! I like how it turned out. Are those the mid sized easy wood tools you were using?
@StoneandSonsWorkshop7 жыл бұрын
Yeah, they are just right for me.
@BruceAUlrich7 жыл бұрын
I'm looking at getting either the mid sized ones or the full sized ones.
