I lived from the west side CV to the river bottom and in between. Grew up here since 78 Went to PALOMAR HIGH school class of 97' with heads from every hood here in the SOUTH Bay,. VCV, NC, OTAY, BRANDYWINE, DEL SOL, IMPERIAL, SAN YSIDRO, PALM, NESTOR and the list goes on. All these hood were active. So Woodlawn Apartments are by an elementary school, I would get off the trolly and have to walk by those Apartments and through a lil fence opening through the school yard (big ass grass field) to get to my Moms apartment which was right across the street from the school at the time. During those times it was always up wit VCV but it wasn’t static wit Crips yet this was 1990 but if they didn’t know you it was going to be a problem. I knew Oso from VCV he stayed right across from me in they turf and I was in camp wit another one of they homeboys but can’t think of bro name
