The Hill released in 1965 (the year I was born) was the best film he made outside of the 6 Bond films (NSNA was not really for me) part of Bond My late father served his 2 years National Service from 1952-54 stationed as Sergeant in Benghazi Libya My father told me that these characters existed in real life to some extent. There were the weak, the strong, the idiots like the character played by Norman Bird who entertained himself by visiting the local prostitute and never knew what was going on in the camp I’ve watched the film several times over the last 3-4 years 🙏🙏🇬🇧🇬🇧🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿❤️❤️😢😢 My late mother died of exactly the same ailments I would not wish dementia on my worst enemy

Yes,I've seen the hill,terrific film, but not because he was in it, but I'll admit it was one of his less wooden performances. Not a role anyone talks about. Sorry.

To DannyBhoy. I respectfully disagree with U 100%. Every movie I hv seen Connery in I enjoyed immensely. Outside of Bond, I liked him best in the 1978 movie The Great Train Robbery. Hope U re-evaluate ur opinion. Anyway, happy New Year 2U and ur family. God bless.

Sean Connery did not have dementia. He was just old. His wife has just used this to get a book out of it. Don't believe anything this diva has to say become it's not true.
