@@michaelo6161 Jordan didn’t win by himself. It’s a team sport after all. Yet, to call them a superteam is disingenuous. Is Scottie Pippen a hall of famer if the Bulls never win a championship? It’s a debate. He never put up 23 points a game a single season. Is Rodman a hall of famer just for his Detroit years? I’d say he was but it’s also debatable. you have to remember in 95 he was viewed as a crazy locker room cancer getting in trouble. He was also 35 years old in 96. Defensive stats don’t get everyone in the hall of fame even with DPOY awards. Finally, if you’re including Toni Kukoc, the only reason he’s a HOF player is because he was a very popular European player just before the international explosion post-Barcelona Olympics.. He lucked out being drafted to a dynasty even though he was a very good 6th man off the bench. In contrast, Lebron “teamed” up with bonafide Hall of Famers. Wade was a 1st ballot HOF before they played their first game together. AD from a statistical perspective was already one as well. Kyrie averages 23 for his career. Westbrook put up 4 Oscar Robinson triple double seasons before playing with Lebron.

@@michaelo6161 “Compared to others in their era”. That’s completely ignoring the 96-99 Rockets. Hakeem, Barkley, Drexler that was a superteam that couldn’t get passed the Jazz. Even the 89-92 Celtics. Their roster was similar to 86. Bird, McHale, DJ, Parrish, Reggie Lewis.

Classic NBA content right here. Lebron and Curry have made NBA great again. The Shaq/Kobe/Duncan Era wasnt the best. I only liked 04 Pistons, 06 Heat, and 2011 Mavs during that era. Whenever the Spurs or Lakers were winning it was boring from 05 to 2015 IMO. I liked Ginobili's game a lot when he and Parker were peaking with Spurs but outside of that, the Era was lacking excitement unless you are a Lakers or Spurs fan. Looking forward to what NBA does after Lebron/Durant/Curry era. Hopefully Doncic can get a legit contending team to go along with Giannis, Jokic, Mitchell, Morant, Booker, Tatum, Embid and other young stars to carry NBA. Im hopeful for Zion to stay healthy eventually and still hope Melo Ball can become a legit star too.

You could argue Bron first surpassed Kobe during the 2009 regular season but had these two met in that puppet finals, it was a no-brainer: Kobe would have decisively beat Lebron in 2009. 2010 would have been a lot closer as the Lakers were not quite as good as they were in 2009 and Shaq allowed Cleveland to matchup with the Lakers size a lot better but once Bron lost his focus, it was all over for Cleveland. The true moment in which I knew for sure Lebron surpassed Kobe was when the Lakers got swept by Dallas because you could no longer argue using the playoffs that Kobe was better than Lebron

Miami got LeBron because Wade averaged 27ppg 7apg 5rpg as a top 3-5 player in the league the year before while leading a less than average team to 47 wins plus he knew Riley was trying to get Bosh too who averaged 24ppg & 11rpg. Pre the 2011 season, on paper, the only teams that could compete with that was Kobe & Pau and an older KG, Pierce, & Allen. At the time, it was the easy way out & weakest move ever by a superstar player until KD went to the Warriors.

Great interview,& a lot of the stands Lebron has made were noble. Racism, police brutality/inequality,& many of his ire dirrected at Trump,I agreed with totally. But comparing him to Mohamed Ali or Arthur Ash...as far as I know/remember-those guys didnt show blatant hypocrisy-based on what their sponsors, political bent or bottom line being affected-Lebron has. He had no problem speaking out against inequality & police brutality in America,& I support him for that. Yet hes completely silent on FAR WORSE human rights abuses in China...or from the Chinese govt-cuz they might not let Space Jam run in the country or wanna ban the NBA-when Daryl Morrey speaks out against their treatment of Taiwan. Woke NIKE supports Lebron hitting Trump,or painting every police officer in America-with the same brush in a few of his tweets. But they sure dont want him attacking China, the evils,& hundreds of millions that communism has murdered...far more than radical right NAZIs murdered...cuz Nike is a bunch of leftist radicals, wants to keep hawking shoes in China,& opperating slave labour, sweat shops there.Thats where I lost a lot of respect for Lebron...his hypocrisy that Enis Kanter often hits him for. I despise the far right, radical,"cult of Trump"...but no more than radical leftist communists,or "destructive cult of woke." Lebron wont ever say shit about the evils on the far left...only 1 side. He doesnt say shit bout his buddy Kappernick-another flaming hypocrite-who makes good points about things in America that arent right or fair...yet says nice things about Fidel Castro,or wears a Che shirt-who while he did stand against an evil, corrupt Cuban regime-also was a communist revolutionist butcher himself-who slaughtered thousands of innocents & supported an even worse communist regime with far worse human rights violations-than almost any police dept/officer in America. I cant respect you if you stand against injustice, intollerance & unfairness ONLY if it doesnt affect your bottom line,or come from a certain dirrection on the political spectrum you happen to agree with. You speak out against the true evils of America, but shut up about far worse,& blatant evils in China. If you only speak out about the evils of right wing extremism-but stay silent about leftist extremists-you are just another hypocrite like those on MSNBC,the NYT,or the opposite on Fox news-who ignore the evils of far right extremism. That makes you a propaghandist-though you have some valid points in a vacuum. But the hypocrisy & 1 sided nature of your criticisms-makes all your valid points pure propaghanda, hypocrisy & favoritism...& I will never respect that.

If you remember the time, 07-10, Kobe was a few years removed from the 03 Colorado incident. Say what you will about it, but it was a factor on why he wasn’t as beloved. In contrast, young Lebron Cleveland 1.0 was hyped, was coming into his own as a floor leader both offensively & defensively, & never gave political commentary. I do think Kobe would have tortured Lebron in a 7 game series if they met though. But it’s similar to 87-90 Mj & Magic. Magic was winning the championships but Jordan was head & shoulders the best player in the league.

And Lebron won 2 MVP, already more than Kobe, he’d already lead his team to the finals as the 1st option in 2007, before Kobe did it in 2008, he already had legendary playoffs performances like his game 5 against the Piston in the 2007 ECF with 48pts, the last 25pts of his team and 29 of the last 30 of his team, probably the most clutch performance of all time, and his stats were just better especially his analytics stats, in 2009 he had the highest PER of all time in the playoffs, Lebron was on prime MJ and Shaq level already, both in the regular season and playoffs, some other players like Wilt or David Robinson have reached the same level in analytics stats in the regular season, but only MJ, Shaq and Lebron consistently dominated in the playoffs with a PER over 30 while leading most other stats like Win Share, Offensive and def win share, BPM, OBPM, DBPM, VORP ect.

I don’t remember people thinking he was better than Kobe but it was the time where they were both the top players of the league and everybody wanted them in the finals so badly but Cleveland always fell short because that team was all LeBron as we saw when the largely same team went from a 60+ win team to abysmal once lebron was gone. And at the time Kobe wasn’t appreciated nearly as much as he is now because of the arrest thing still be pretty recent and Kobe always labeled as a ball hog and such. Kobe is seen much more fondly now than he was then and prior to leaving Cleveland LeBron was super well liked by a lot. But at the time he was getting the knocks like MJ once had been about how he was really good but didn’t win rings but the problem was he left to align with a team of other all stars which made his rings look cheap. I genuinely think if that same thing happened or maybe he just teamed with Bosh but he had stayed in Cleveland and Bosh and/or Wade went to him he wouldn’t have gotten nearly the hate. People know that you have to have a team to win titles but it’s seen differently when pieces are brought to you versus abandoning ship to join up elsewhere. I think if he’d stayed put and people joined him he’d never have gotten the hate he did.

@@diegochavez62031. Every professional athlete is on PEDs 2. There is no argument you can make for Kobe over Lebron at this point. That conversation ended around 2014. He averages more points, rebounds, assists, steals, blocks, every advanced stat is in Lebron’s favor. Stop being dumb

LeChoke totally sold out to make superteams and then got destroyed by a 1 superstar Dallas team... truly pathetic. This is why LeChoke is not even better than Kobe or Kareem.
