It's a shame that no one can afford to get into these old cars of my youth anymore. These prices are ridiculous.
@speed640711 ай бұрын
The reason they are so expensive is because the prior owners destroyed them. They didn't value them enough to keep them in a garage but would let them sit and rot away for decades rather than sell them . Then when they have less than a usable shell left they want top dollar for a vin and parts of a shell. NOS parts are expensive and they take a lot of time to install or rebuild a car from scratch !
@rickbusch79119 ай бұрын
Those nobodies that can't afford these cars are the I. G. whiners. This place averages 90 a month. Look at all the auctions -people are buying, you just have to have the $. Kind of how things work in the real world.
@thomaslawlor4556 Жыл бұрын
$57,000 for an Econoline?? Wow you are awesome host of these videos but sound alittle non-chalant when you are quoting prices, like $100,000 is like nothing. I am a diehard Mustang guy who works 12 hours a day for the same company for 45 years and was hoping to finally buy my dream car but with an average of $50 or $60 thousand, I am priced out. When are the prices ever going to be affordable, probably never.
@ericblust5923 Жыл бұрын
You missed your window in the 60s, you could have bought a brand new mustang for under $3000... I bet you worked, saved everything, if you would have put $3000 in a jar and waited till today, you can probably find a junked out Mustang... you can thank your politicians for printing money out of thin air, for more and more government causing inflation...

You got that right, the prices aren't going down anytime soon.
@rickbusch79119 ай бұрын
@@TTGTO288. More like ever. I think a lot of em are getting to be investment cars. They buy em, sit on em, and hope the price keeps going up. I also think the more affordable cars are getting bought you and flipped to the point no 9ne can afford them. Definitely not a middle class or paycheck to paycheck poor man's game. The nos and used original parts keep going up in price, parts or rebuilder cars more expensive labor getting higher, etc. Them there's this place that's basically a consignor. They have to keep the car owner happy and make money.
@TTGTO2889 ай бұрын
@rickbusch7911 That sounds about right. I have 4 that I have bought over my years and hold on to. A '72 Corvette, '71 Trans Am, '79 Z28 (all original) and my latest ... a '63 Impala. I've picked them up, along with original parts, over the span of 30 years. I keep an eye on the market and they just keep going up in value, although, the original Trans Am parts have probably surpassed the car's value. I never put myself out to get them or spent more than I could afford. When a deal came along, I scooped it up. However, my stable is full now

The Willis is a Kit car, that is why it is fiberglass and bill of sale paper work. 18K is just ok for that. Friend of my father sold a real one not long ago for 200k and his other friend built one just like that, a kit with a blown fuel injected hemi, sold a few years ago 80K. That one will still require alot work and getting it registered.

Been seeing a lot of locations on KZbin videos lately where everything is being auctioned and were on popular cable TV shows in the last 10-20 years. Was just in Iowa this past weekend at National motorcycle museum that's closing and everything being auctioned. Depressing, but that's life. Everything moves on to new homes eventually.

In the early 80's i had the opportunity to drive a 1969 Z28and an AAR Cuda in the same evening. both low milage and stock! The Cuda was impressive But the Z28 was slow. I was doing a lot of racing in those days. I estimate the cuda was about a 13.00 second car or even a little quicker. The Camaro was a 14.50 ET car at best. For drag racing you are much better off with a 427 Camaro than a Z28!

All nice vehicles ... unfortunately the "collectors" have taken most of the fun out of the equation ... they have created so much artificial demand which has the raised prices so high they have changed the vehicles into trading commodities. I could be wrong but nobody is going to pay $170K for that W30 and then push that thin pedal on the right all the way to the floor and enjoy themselves. They're going to sweat bullets every time they put it on the street hoping that nobody runs into them. I'm an old person so I have old person thoughts ... I can walk over to my friendly Chevy dealer and buy a 23 Camaro LT-1 with a 6MT for $40K. No parts issues, faster than most of those vehicles , certainly better engineered from the safety perspective and if someone runs into it ... oops not a big deal ... please don't get agitated with what I write ... If you want to spend that kind of money on a classic muscle car go for it ...Keith Chicago IL

The title's a little deceiving, or at least "questionable." The definition of "abandoned" is that someone (everyone) has left (this mall) a LONG time ago & it doesn't appear likely anyone will return. With this mall stuffed with NICE cars it is most certain someone IS coming back,lol.

Cool video , i’m guessing it’s a few years old when i watched it in2023. because the values are way different these days because many of these cars are the ones my age desires and will pay for to put it in perspective when i was inHigh School. there was a. local guy that hoarded a bunch of real GTO Judges i worked next door to that man’s yard and i negotiated a price on one of his vehicles at a thousand dollars but i needed my Dads approval my Dad drove past the man’s yard and revealed. to me a no because. some of the old cars had rust on them ? i was like Dad we live in South Florida 13 blocks from the beach every car has some rust BTW they all were complete Cars ,Numbers Matching yep. i wanted one of the 4 Speed cars on the property ! because at 17 that was important to me
