This made me become teary eyed. I love TMP Enterprise's design so much! Its the most beautiful version of the Enterprise. Even when I saw the movie as kid, I was getting teary eyed along with Kirk when he saw her! I still feel it all these years later! Why couldn't we had gotten a TV series with this magnificent design of a ship?! Heck, I will even take a video game with this enterprise design. Like a Mass Effect game! That would be so amazing! Funny thing is, I was actually thinking about asking you if you could make this bridge version since you made TWOK's version of it. I always liked how this version has the science officer's station right next to the turbo lift and behind the Captain's chair. I dont know why they moved it in TWOK but I guess it was to make it more like TOS with Spock being on the starboard side of the bridge. Thank you for doing this. I can only hope that one day you can release this simulator to the public! :D

Amen to everything you said. Saw TMP when I was 11 in 1979. The USS Enterprise at her best. I still get a chill when I see the, leaving dry dock and the fly around scenes. Also the best going to warps speed Special effect ever in the history of SCi FI.

See ? , this Enterprise bridge had " seat belts. The arm rests folded down over your legs to hold you in your seat in case of emergency.

Jesus this is absolutely (no pun intended) unreal! Even though I loved TOS, it was the connie refit that really hit home for me as kid. The design of the bridge is amazing, and the additions of the weapons Pod and spocks slide out stations are just brilliant. Damn hard to beat this bridge design. I'd give my left arm to have this on my PC or Oculus. Its just amazing. Donny, you're a true Genius!

The TOS and TMP bridges are much smaller than the newer ones, which makes it more intimate and much better for drama. When there are a ton of people in a large room it is a huge distraction from the interaction between characters. Your work is spectacular and extremely realistic looking. Well done!

Absolutely fantastic! The bridge is usually my favorite interior of any starship, and you've absolutely _nailed_ this one. I know I already said something along these lines in your Engineering video, but it truly does feel like stepping into _Enterprise_ herself. Absolutely beautiful... And I don't mean to sound pushy or anything, but are there any plans to do the bridges from STIV, STV, and STVI?

OMG! I’’m so geeking/nerding out right now. This brings tears to my eyes, I think that the TMP bridge was so beautiful, they kind of messed it up in TWOK. Thank you for sharing this it brings back so many AMAZING memories. I remember when I got the bridge console schematics years ago. I studied the layout of each console and wished I had the money to replicate them. Actually, I still do! Thank you again for this brilliant video.

Your right the Science station was moved to the left of the Starboard turbolift the Engineering station was placed between Communications ; and Weapons and Defense stations and the station at 1:45 was placed behind the Captains chair and station at 0:57 was placed between Science and damage control in Wrath of Khan . Then redressed to be the Reliant bridge set in that movie as well.

It's not mentioned in TV shows and movies but creature comforts such as crew quarters with food replicators, sleeping areas, washrooms, toilets, sonic showers etc. should always be easily accessible nearby from the main bridge.

I love this bridge design. I prefer the Wrath of Khan layout but in my own head cannon it's the same bridge module with movable components within, so while at a Starbase during the second five-year mission Kirk had the Science, Engineering, and other stations moved. Seats changing color is only natural with time and wear.

This is great! Science was moved behind the Captain’s chair for perspective shots and dialogue scenes, but i love the massive science station in TMP. It gradually shrank over the course of the TOS films, wasn’t even used in IV and V, and was just a little perpendicular nub in VI.

I assume you based yourself on published set plans to lay out the stations correctly but I could swear in films like Star Trek II and III, the science station used by Spock and later Chekov is to the left of the starboard turbolift and not between the two turbolifts.

wow this looks so detailed photo realoitsic to every thing is prety acurate but the tmp bridge never had transporters they were just black pannels and in wrath of khawn and serch for spoke it was some green round lights when the black pannels were removed =x

Beautiful work. I've always loved this version of the bridge best. I didn't care for the slight redress of it they did for TWOK; I think they should have left it as it was in TMP. I think they were trying to make it look more like it did from the series, with Spock at the science station off to Kirk's right, but I liked it better with the science station directly behind the captain, where the science officer was much closer to the command chair. The bridges we saw in ST:V and ST:VI were just awful, IMHO.
