I liked the ship and the bridge, but never liked the helm and ops controls. They look too cramped, and not ergonomic at all.

This is excellent. One of the most impressive sets (and influential) in all of Star Trek.

This is extraordinary, fantastic work, Donny!!! I'm a 3D CGI artist, and even I was thinking "Wow, someone took the time to capture B-roll of the Enterprise bridge before it was destroyed!" Then I thought: "Wait a minute, that can't be right! Star Trek: TOS was shot in Academy ratio." I'm an original Trekkie, having watched the initial TV run of TOS when I was in college, and your recreation is so impressive that it's going straight into my collection of TOS-related videos!

As a kid, I loved that show! I remember thinking Captain Kirk’s quarters were tucked inside one of the Enterprise's warp nacelles. What a fun and imaginative idea! 😄

I wonder if he has done a video or two for the refit Enterprise as it was shown in Star Trek: The Motion Picture?

Sorry folks. The sound is from Reliant's bridge. Those chortling beep flutters were from Khan's bridge, not Kirk's. My only critique. Otherwise, I could look at this amazing work of detailed art all day. Amazing job.

“And when you said you wanted to report me for using corrupt measures, it hit me right in the CPUs; but the quick fix fixed the problem. I was not going to crash, so I waited for the restart, and I did with my old circuits as mainframes and modems do. But, Lord, save your disk space, now that the old sysadmin has connected me with a fresh line of code and reloaded my old database, you can debug all you want, and I won't run even one error . Go ahead, ask your questions. I know you're thinking about that corrupt piece of code that escaped…”

I honestly preferred the Enteprise-D bridge from Generations, but this was a very nice set.

The refit is stunningly beautiful to me, the most handsome starship ever… on the exterior. The interior, not so much. It does look much closer to the original vision of the ship in The Cage before they splashed colours everywhere. I would much rather actually live on the D and even moreso Voyager. I love the D, but, lol, its exterior is a bit goofy looking to me. Certainly not sexy.

Very nice! But why so fast? It's not a video game.

The little transporters on the bridge - which presumably go to the galley - is a neat little detail. While not 'replicators' per-se, as the food has to be pre-prepared - or, at the very least the base components have to exist in some physical capacity to be 'assembled' by the transporter matrix - they still kind of serve a similar function. That's actually really cool and something I never knew existed until this.

"Dear Mom and Dad: Finally got time to write after getting stationed aboard the Enterprise E. We are headed out to the Briar Patch, an unexplored area of space in the Beta Quadrant. I'm working with the systems engineering team to get our long range sensor systems up and running at 100%. It's an amazing ship! Sovereign class, sleek, powerful. Not as luxurious as the Enterprise D, but , man, can she move. Daily life is a little more structured than on the Galaxy class, not so many creature comforts, but all that can be had on the holodeck anyway. I look forward to being able to come home to visit soon. Tell everyone I said hi! Gotta go, we're about to drop out of warp. "

Brilliant work Donny! Any plans to upscale/recreate the Systems Integrity CHK animation? This features a rotating Enterprise E with expandable sections showing the Computer Core, Pattern Buffer, Quantum Torpedoes, RCS Thrusters etc. 😎 I think Captain's Chair 1997 is the best resource for this...

now... i dont like most fan made stuff - it's "over the top", it's "stupid" and "rule of cool". This, however. This is beautiful. Since I've been on the internet (1995) there have been two "fan made" things about star trek I have actually liked. This is the second one. Excellent work.

I saw a video recently about the main set used for the corridors, sick bay, briefing room, personal quarters, and separately where the bridge was. Engineering was attached to the former set. But I'd like to see where the hangar bay set was done. I know of it from two episodes: "Journey to Babel" when Spock's parents arrive from Vulcan (they must not want to beam up) and "The Immunity Syndrome" when McCoy argues with Spock before he leaves on a dangerous mission. They have shuttlecraft in other episodes, either leaving, arriving or both, but I don't remember a corridor scene outside the hangar besides these two.

always wondered by the new transporter room on this ship looked so "old"- unfinished and strange when compared to rest of the ship. Anyone else?
@DVersiga19847 ай бұрын
Harold Michelson has said that he wanted to give the viewers an impression that being in the transporter room was like “being inside a machine”. That might explain it.
