For those of you who may be wondering why the Enterprise is damaged in the "Starbase 74/Bynars" scenes, those scenes are a direct continuation to the "Neutral Zone Encounter." Here, the Enterprise encounters the Romulans first and is damaged before encountering the Bynars. I didn't depict the battle because with everything I've been through the past several months delaying my projects, I wasn't up to delaying this video any longer. I decided to leave it to the viewers imagination, which I think is better for it. With that out of the way, it turns out my family and I didn't move, but things were pretty screwed up for a while. I continued to work on this particular video during all that (just in a reduced amount, I love doing this, it helps me get away from things for a while.) Now that things have calmed down and with this finished, I have a bit more time to work on other projects. I have been working on this video for what feels like an eternity (9 months straight), it underwent many revisions while I tried to figure out what I was going for. I'm so happy it's finally done. This video is the first in my new "Voyages" series which will be loosely based on scenes from seasons from the original prime tv shows (right now just TNG). The basis for this series is my attempt to re-capture the look and feel of the original shows using just ships and music, while adding my own personal touches as well. As far as the other projects, I'm considering cancelling the "Prelude to Wolf 359" as a separate video an adding it to the beginning in (condensed form) to the "Battle of Wolf 359" video instead. The reason is with all the delays this year with my personal life, doing the prelude will take just too much time. Personally, I want this project over with ASAP but it's still months out at this point. We'll see what happens... I will shift focus to and from the battle as fatigue sets in and work on other concepts that I have been holding off on. Thank you for your patience and support.

I love that you fixed one of the biggest issues with the Bynar episode, I've always been annoyed that the starbase which looks EXACTLY like Earth Space Dock was supposedly upscaled to fit a Galaxy Class Starship, but instead you went with Andrew Probert's idea instead and had it dock to the exterior of the facility instead.

I've always like the Starbase 74 being larger and Enterprise D going in side. I know Probert didn't want that but it's way grander than even this. Docking outside is nothing like passing through the doors and the spotlight dancing over the hull. (GIVE ME CHILLS) But that's doesn't mean the Starbase had to look exactly the same. This was a very good job at extrapolating an external dock for the Galaxy and he capture the scene correctly for Enterprises back out-turn and warp maneuver .... If you didn't have that you loose the grandeur and presence of the entire scene.

Nostalgia is such an interesting feeling. I can remember having mixed emotions about first seeing the 1701-D being a lifelong TOS fan. Then of course getting used to it, but not entirely loving it. But then when she is destroyed in Generations, I felt a sense of loss. And now with rumors of "some type" of Enterprise D return in Picard S3 I am super excited to see her again. Excellent renderings as always. Thanks for sharing your gift with all of us.

I love the use of the Ambassador class coming to rendezvous with the Enterprise to pick up the Stargazer, gives a nice continuity boost and shows that Starfleet does a lot of with their ships, as evidence points to the Excelsior class still being in service nearly 100 years after it's introduction at the tail end of the 23rd Century.

absolutely spectacular work!! Always bothered me that the same space dock that the Enterprise docks with in STIII, the EntD is also able to dock with.. that would make Starbase74 like 2 to 3 times larger than Spacedock around Earth.. but you made it believeable that its the same size as the station in STIII by adding those space docks around it.. very good work sir!! edit: Also you did the saucer/secondary hull scene better than in the pilot episode because you show it actually completing the docking sequence.. the pilot episode leaves the docking sequence sort of unfinished and then cuts to the rejoined starship... but your sequence is seamless... love it!! edit 2: Also.. forgot to touch on the most important thing.. good to hear that things are calming down for you and your family.. this world is a wild one now... and the less crazy things that happen to people the better.. good to see that you and them are getting into a better place with stability and all.

@@danielhenderson8316 From a drama and and awe and spectacle POV, seeing the Enterprise-D docking and leaving and then docking again with the Trek theme playing over it I absolutely love it's attempts to recapture those kind of moments seen in TMP, TWOK, and TSFS. I accept that sometimes showing good TV must outweigh in-universe fictional logic and practicality which is what your CGI displays and captures beautifully...but would it have made for that same TV awe and spectacle and even nostalgia of TOS movies? I've poured over every detail of the Galaxy class. The only thing I wish there was more of...is the hull plate aztecing feature. When we see the Saucer close up during docking it would had scale to the scene which is the reason why aztecing was added to the Motion Picture Enterprise...to keep it from looking like a featureless smooth hull. Other than that...everything here is astonishingly perfect...and I mean that. When you see Enterprise roll under the camera before going to warp speed...The taper of the neck...the shape and size of the impulse engines are all variable depending on who makes the 3D model. Even the lips of the hull around the main deflector are PERRRRFECT...it's like someone laser scanned the studio model.

I think the reconnection-into the transition into being fully reconnected was seamless; I loved it. Additionally, your other work, is amazing. What gets me is the little things that you’ve added. Your additional structure you added for the starbase, was a very nice touch. Maxia-you gave life to that episode, while respecting the work that was already present, it’s like you took some of “Peak Performance” (regarding the Stargazer’s engines powering up, and the shut down at the very end of the Picard Maneuver) were all great pieces. All the scenes are clean, crisp and IDK if it's just the OG viewer in me noticing, but in the "Farpoint" scene when the Enterprise is done with MVAM mode/Separated Flight I thought I noticed a slight matte line around the ship as she orbits Deneb IV... again, prolly just me but the rest is friggin' awesome! 😁 Thank you for sharing this, and I hope that Volume 2 comes out soon! Can't wait! Be safe and healthy! Peace & Long Life! 🖖😎

For me, your money shot was at 0:56 with that shot of the star drive section. It's pure magic in a recreation while putting a little twist of your own. I'm trying to think and the only battle you've really done was the Star Trek IV Probe. Doing the Neutral Zone fight between the Enterprise and the Warbird might be some good practice before Wolf 359. Either way, I really don't think anyone on your channel is going to care if your Wolf 359 video ends up being 30 minutes long. My only real complaint is only getting a tease of Andrew Probert's Ambassador. I'd love to see a main title remake using that ship just to see all the different angles of it. Keep on keeping on. We'll still be here.

Nice work showing off the true sizes of the Enterprise and the Warbird. I never realized in the show how much larger the they were supposed to be than the Enterprise. They looked relatively similar sized in the show. I certainly didn't get the impression that the Enterprise could fit inside that void in the middle of the Warbird. This gives you a much better feel for how massive these things were supposed to be.

these were the voyages of the famed starships named enterprise, on their continuing mission to explore strange new worlds, seek out new life and and new civilisation and boldly went, where noone had gone before. And they'll never be forgotten.

I loved how you fixed the scale/size comparison issue with the Stargazer next to the Enterprise. The original footage, the Stargazer seemed to be equal in size with the galaxy class. I understand budget and models, but still. They did the same is DS9 with the Defiant and a Vor'cha class klingon cruiser. The scale of the 2 ships were off. Its nice to see the actual scale of The Stargazer vs the Enterprise.

Great work as usual. I'm probably in the minority, but the 1st two seasons of TNG are my favourite, as they give a little glimpse into the ending lost era of Trek. Was especially happy to see the revisions Andrew Propbert proposed to the original spacedock design to accommodate the Galaxy Class. And the Ambassador Class there... alongside the D... poetry in motion!

I loved the early TNG years as well. It really felt like there was an infinite galaxy out there and was a weekly adventure movie while the later seasons went the other way and focused on interpersonal melodrama. I still thing Season 3 did the best job of combining the best of both approaches.

I LOVE your work but I would like to make a suggesting, I know there is no sound in space but with the Saucer Reconnection scene, in the original episode there is a very satisfying "coupling" sound when the saucer reconnects with the stardrive and your version didn't have it, maybe that's something you could include if you ever make another one. Stellar work though. Can we just admire the absolutely amazing soundtrack for this show as well. Just so much to love here, the alternate docking for the Enterprise-D at Spacedock (which the producers wanted to do but never had the money for), the Probert-Ambassador Class... its just fantastic.
