Please make longer videos!!! Specially about Big boy and the steam shop. I think we would all like to see more of the work being performed. Good luck with everything.

Union Pacific, thank you so much for your service to the nation by preserving these magnificent machines. Although the effort and cost are not trivial, and the impact of the work difficult to quantity, all our lives are enriched by it. I'm grateful that our grandchildren will have the opportunity to experience the sights and sounds of these locomotives at work, which may help them think about how important our railroads are to all of us.

Thanks for the fond memories of my Childhood.. growing up in Cheyenne Wyoming in the 60's and being able to get to know some incredible people who worked for the Union Pacific Rail Road.. Marvin J. Kuhn U.P R.R. Conductor... and yes family too... I miss my dear Brother in Law William" Bill " Riley Sr. " Golden Spike Award" recipient... and that long haul from Bailey Yard to Cheyenne..43 years and many miles Bill Riley put down on the steel hiway... I am trying to remember the steam locomotive's # that Asbestos Technology Incorporated abated in the Cheyenne Roundhouse back in the early 1990's..that was quite a incredible project that I was part of.. removing the tin from the Locomotive.. to perform asbestos abatement..in March burrrr that's a cold morning in rubber boots and Respirators GOD bless these families who have given much..

More please! The work you are doing is so important. Maybe a webcam to watch what's being done on the Big Boy? Thank you for preserving these amazing machines.

Good luck keeping it live. Some of the places they travel through have either limited internet or data or none at all In the bigger cities maybe but in the rural Plains or rural areas probably not gonna get much data. I don't disagree with your idea I like it. I just see the stream being down alot due to the amount of rural areas they pass through when running 4014 or 844

I hope they get more crew like they did in the 40s-50s cause that's how commercial steam operation keeps the steam locomotive running.

I wonder how many people could tell you if that vertical machine was a VTL or VBM. That's the scary part of this country. Those skills are disappearing. With a better overall view I could tell you, but then I'm 69 years old.

Who knows. Supposedly after they finish the big boy then they will start on the challenger. They gave an estimate of around 2021 if everything goes well.
@rustyshackleford27237 жыл бұрын
They should continue after that also and rebuild all the important and historic locos in the U.S.
