Jay, this video is awesome. I was born in ‘75. Ghostbusters was a HUGE part of my childhood. I have been to LA/Hollywood/Burbank a few times. I have to say that if CA state income tax was 14% I would love living there. I have a friend who worked for Screen Gems in Burbank. I went to a taping of The Tonight Show w/ Jay Leno. I also have a fellow stage hand that worked on Big Bang Theory.

WELL DONE SIR!!! In June, I tried to get out to the exterior for the GB fire station, but there were far too many vagrants and open drug use going on, so I wasn't about to leave my vehicle. I'm so stoked that you were able to experience this and share the other experiences as well. Huge Jeopardy and Wheel fan so thank you for that as well!

Nice video man!! I have visited the NYC locations and Sony Studios but I have never been to the Firehouse/ hotel interiors!! Noticed you didn’t see the giant hand painted picture that was used at the end of GB2. It was in the prop room next to some proton packs and a set piece from afterlife. The Millennium Biltmore Hotel is the location for the some of the Academy Awards ceremonies. Walt Disney received the Oscars for Seven Dwarfs at Academy Awards event at Biltmore Hotel in 1939. Also, the Black Dahlia murder case involved the Biltmore Hotel. A very historic Los Angeles location. Enjoy your time here in the Greater Los Angeles area!

Yep they shot the interiors in LA because the real station is too small to make a movie in so they had to make it bigger so they could do camera shots inside the exteriors were done in NY itself.

It was also because hook.and ladder 8 was and still is a firehouse​ so they wasnt allowed to film inside. Also they only had a small timeframe to shoot outside just incase the fire truck had to leave for an emergency@josephbennett3482

@@TampaJay yea to be honest my wife looked over and seen a tear running down my face lol. Cause that was Aykroyds baby then Harold jumped on to help steer it in the right direction and an amazing movie was created. Like some ppl think of Stripes when his name is mention but to me it'll always be Egon because it fit him so perfectly. Well the whole cast actually but him especially. A few years ago they did a Ghostbusters Cleaning up the Streets documentry of the 1st movie and it's great if you ever get the time to watch it
