I have an 05 Altima. It's the V6 (the VQ35DE found in the 350z and g35) with a 5 speed manual. Honestly for a 4 door family sedan it's a sleeper. Its mostly stock but I've won more races then lost. With simple mods they can make 300 whp no problem.

@Xovion In most racing competitions the racers have to be both in peak physical condition and be highly trained in order to be allowed onto a team. Also in alot of racing competitions the racers need to weigh under a certain anount in order to compete. (Granted the latter applies more to stuff like sprint cars or open-wheel cars than stock cars.)

It’s cool to see the scene growing there, and see everyone build up their car as a community. Here in Texas the scene is way too advanced, you have 800hp+ cars flying down Houston highways at 140mph-190mph, and if you try to start up and get into the scene you’re already at a disadvantage because either you don’t have the money or the standards are way too high to be looked at serious.

not that i say i condone illegal racing but some tracks i have looked into have funny rules that can prevent me or my "rides" from participating like horsepower rules ( sub 400hp my mopar easily can with mods can make over 600hp~ at the tires ) or cylinders count ( I-4 or v-6 to bad as i have v-8s/up ) or CI displacement ( that can not let me have go at it 370+ci ) and " full roll cage with door bars and racing seats + harnesses aka better seat belts and i don't mind thoughs because it's better than nothing / 3-point type " which make my charger in a grey area as im not willing to remove / MOD the crap out of my interior because i like having a full working daily driver not just a race car so im buying / building 4 me not " class rules " and i have no plans on doing that

Car crews/clubs have been around since the 50s , if not longer. Its a real thing, thats how nascar startes, shine runners got together and started meeting up and racing their cars. There is also truck and car meets everywhere like in this video. I'm not in the car scene, but i am in the truck scene. And its the same way, im in a truck club and we go to truck meets all over the east coast . None of this started from a video game. The automobile building scene has been around for years and years

I loved street racing when I was in my 20's. The thrill of evading cops, seeing fast cars and custom builds, and we did it as SAFELY as we could. Always abandoned back roads in the middle of the night, lookouts for cars (not just cops), etc. It was just tons of fun. Basically a real life forum for car enthusiasts every weekend.

There is a car and truck culture in Middle Tn is pretty big here, but the truck culture is more respected by the public here. But I wish there was some public area we could have cars and coffee, car and truck shows, drifting and racing events. We have a speedway in Middle T, why not use it for events. There is more to cars than just dailying the vehicles to work. I hope more youtubers come out to Nashville for meets and events like itsJusta6 did.

Yeah I don’t get the drag race seen theirs plenty of tracks. drifting I understand but you don’t do doughnuts in a parking lot and put touge lol at least make a line and make a small course even if it’s in your head doing donuts like it’s the main event you do donuts to warm up even then figure 8s are where it’s at

literal translation of touge is "mountain pass". (峠). Unless they run on elevated curvy roads it doesn't make sense to name them touge.
