So glad to see you guys back in Georgia! I first found your channel last year when I came across your Tbilisi video last year before moving to Georgia myself. @@MattandJulia just saw your video, batumi seems so beautiful..... just wondering if there is any violent hate crimes against asian travellers? has georgia receive a lot of influence from the spread of western media asian hate yet? i have to ask this safety questions now everytime i visit a new country, since my cousins have been attacked themselves, and we are not even from china but we have slanted eyes.... Thanks for any info or reply.

@@swishywishy3490 hello, Generally speaking, you can find haters and racists in every country in the world but Georgia is not known for racism or hateism)) if you smile to people they will smile back. also Georgia still receives more people from Eastern countries than western (if you don't count northern)))

I spent a month in Batumi in April. It's a very interesting and fascinating place with a mix of old and new architecture. Lots of highend construction everywhere, but also lots of poverty. The biggest turn off in Batumi and Georgia in general, is the bad customer service. Proprietors tend not to greet you, and often times people in the city are rude. It got so bad that I decided to patronize Turkish restaurants and businesses. At least they're warm and friendly. Someone told me it's a cultural thing, but I don't think that's an excuse for rudeness. However, I also met some warm and friendly Georgians, plus I felt totally comfortable in Batumi as an African-American traveler. I would definitely return there again, and thanks for your video.

People who see themselves as Europeans will never treat African people as warmly and kindly as Turks . There may be exceptions, but this is generally the case.

Hi Matt and Julia 👋. Looks like you are having a great time in Batumi. I have watched several KZbinrs from Russia that have "temporarily hopped" over to Georgia and it seems to be such a beautiful and welcoming country to foreign visitors. Your Titanic looked liked it would "sink" both of you if you had eaten it all at once. 🤣. Will be looking forward to your upcoming adventures. Julia, I must say that you looked so beautiful at the restaurant. ("bellissimo")!Take care and have fun in Georgia 🇬🇪. 👍🤗❤️🙏🌎

Matt, who was that sultry vixen with the red lipstick? Don't let Julia catch you with her. 😂 Did julia really get that 'titanic' hatchipuri (sorry, not sure how to spell it) for herself and did she finish it in one sitting. ( if so, she is not an inexpensive date) 🤣 It warms my heart to see minor setbacks (phantom bus) do not deter you two from having fun. able to laugh thru adversity, better than crying! Kudos again for a beautiful tour! be safe and God bless.

Hi, Georgian diverse culture, architecture, Georgian cultures, architectures, etc., are absolutely European. In the place of original Georgian/Iberian/Kolkhian culture, cultures, architecture, architectures, the ancestors of the Georgians, the Georgians had and have various other European cultures, architectures, starting from the BC and continue in present time. Georgians (as descendants of the Kolkhians and Iberians) are one of the most ancient European peoples, which is proved by history, life itself, proved at the level of genetics, archeology, culture, cultures and so on.Georgians in Caucasus, Etruscans in Italy, Corsicans in Corsica, Picts in Britain, Spanish Iberians in Spain and other Iberian, Ibero/ Celtic peoples have same ethno, ethnic origin and represent Iberian peoples, Ibero/ Celtic peoples of Europe and this is why all these listed peoples ( together with originality of each of these ethno, ethnic peoples) have similarities, identical in different forms of culture, in folk music, dance, in ancient architectural style and so on. Also Georgian cultures/culture of different historical times are European ( together with their own culture/ cultures, influences with different European cultures, beginning from ancient times, influences with ancient Greek civilizations, cultures, with Roman cultures, later with Byzantine/East Roman culture, with Catholic Europe and other European cultures during all historical periods in history of Georgians, Georgia, subsequently, among other European cultures, having the closest relationship also with Russian culture ) and of course, all these things proven historically/scientifically by World's, European ( including Georgian) historians/scientists, also, after many centuries of cultural, social, political closest relations between the ancestors of Georgians, Georgians and Romans, as well as Eastern Romans (Byzantines), Georgians (as a result of ethno-cultural mixing) have Romans in their genetics, as well as other European: Celtic, Greek, and so on. Therefore, the overwhelming majority of Georgians, citizens of Georgia, support the European path of development of Georgians, Georgia in this Black Sea region of the Caucasus of Europe, where Georgia itself is located. Sincerely, Alex
