I think this movie is a fun,entertaining story,with a multitude of subplots!

Wallace Ford started life as a British orphan urchin named Grundy who used his wits to make it to Hollywood. That's the story but something similar was said about Claude Rains, supposedly a Cockney urchin, whose family were actually well-established in the theatre business and were fairly well-off.
