I gained a degree in political science (Master's degree). But it was 9 years ago and I didn't work in this field. I have worked in marketing and SEO-optimization. But recently I decided that I want to restart my career as a political analyst. Is it possible?

Is an MPA closely related to a masters in Political Science? My university offers an MPA program that specializes in public policy. Would that be a viable option to work in say, the federal government? Thank you

You may have some elective courses in common, but they are quite different. Public Administration is it's own field with it's own set of theories and methods. There is significant overlap with political science to be sure, and an MPA degree will be very helpful to you in a career in federal government work.

I’m 22, and am planning on starting college in the spring- I want to major in political science, but am I too old to do that? Is it too late?
@DrEmilyMaiden2 жыл бұрын
It's never too late to learn! I work with students in my classes all the time that are nontraditional. Sometimes life gets in the way--career, family, obligations--and we don't return to university until later. It is never too late to go to college or to major in political science!
