I'm insanely jealous of J.F. McClaren, Lambo, Pagani, Porsche, one lucky guy indeed. These episodes have been exemplary, I hope we see more of them in the future but you have set the bar very high! Thanks.

i really love the idea of minimalism with the car. The shrinkwrapping idea, just you and the car.No bloated fenders for the sake of it, small, neat, composed, classic, evolved for perfection. That volcano orange color is stunning.

mclaren are absolutely at the pinnacle of automotive design, they show their passion in a unique way by being 110% perfect in every possible way. people say ferrari have passion, but i see more passion and enthusiasm here at mclaren than anywhere else. they are artists. thank you for the great video!
@w-james92779 жыл бұрын
People say that the 12C lacks soul, I disagree you can see how passionate they are about the car, the attention to detail, the way they talk about them, and not to mention that it looks beutiful.

Will James i think its a great car but I think compared to the Aventador it comes second
@w-james92779 жыл бұрын
Leon Henry The Aventador is faster and more powerful and looks incredible. The only problem is the people who drive them
@leonhenry48619 жыл бұрын
Can't argue with that. The thing with the Mclaran is it's very conservative in its looks. if your spending 6 figures on a car you want to be like wow. Take the R8 it looks great from all angles.
@w-james92779 жыл бұрын
Leon Henry McLarens do look awesome, I saw a 650s the other day and in the flesh it looks quite striking. But not all supercar owners just want something that looks like it belongs in Star Wars. Porches use very conservative looks and they are really popular

This makes me so proud not only to be British, but to live in the same wonderful Southern English county of Surrey as McLaren (not to mention Caterham and, in former years, the legendary Tyrrell and Rob Walker teams). One of the most beautiful parts of all England and such a powerhouse of real industrial activity at a level which is almost an art form. Long may this continue - and may the clean, uncluttered, hand-built approach of the MTC filter down to the rest of our great car industry.

It's important to remember that the italia lap was done by sacked stig and the mp4-12c was lapped by new stig, it's also worth noting that somewhere on youtube is a video of sacked stig taking various cars around a track including the 458 and the mp4-12c and in that comparison the 458 ended up being quicker then the mp4-12c.

The whole point of McLarens production facility is to elevate the process to a level beyond the competition. Only by striving for perfection, will technology, manufacturing and human knowledge be bettered. This is an evolution that others will surely strive to emulate.

JF, I just want to say I really appreciate you going through these various automotive factories and asking really competent questions not only about the vehicles but the design philosophy and general philosophy behind the points of construction themselves. Breathtaking. Notice the contrast between this and Koenigsegg. This is OCD super sterile assembly. Koenigsegg is more casual, with a general thirst for horsepower. Pagani is a lot like Koenigsegg in some ways, but more artsy. Some people say that car passion died with Colin Chapman, Vittorio Jano, or Enzo Ferrari. Looking at this shows me that it all has just begun.

For a lot of people, the numbers are the only thing that matters. Those kind of people buy MP4's. There are also people that look for superlatives and seek to collect them, and they buy MP4's, too.
