Ah, Ink vac... It sucks, it sucks, and most importantly, it SUCKS. All jokes aside, its so sad that this thing was doomed by Splatoon 3's map design and its lackluster zones-cheese buffs, if it got some better mobility and was on even Splatoon 2 styled stages it would be so much more fun. Here's hoping it and some of Splatoon 3's other best specials come back for the next game too!

If anything the map design *helps* Ink Vac the same way it helps Crab Tank, the quickest way to stop both of them are to go around them and hit their exposed backs, but Splatoon 3's maps have fewer ways to go around people. What hurts Ink Vac is that the user has to fully commit to zero damage and paint output for such a long time. What it needed was the ability to shoot the spiky orb early, but as you said, Nintendo loves putting undertuned specials in Zones Cheese Jail in this game.

I am annoyed by vacs when I use my Bloblober deco, Dualies, or tentatek splattershot I hate vac because I can’t deal with it. When I use my wiper deco though, it’s a different story

No matter how you may rank each special in this game, I think that we can all agree that ink vac absolutely sucks. (Get it? Because its a vacuum? I'll see myself out...)
