Ayyyyyy!!! This is my hood!!! I was raised in Mushin, but I currently reside in California in the United States. It's wonderful to see my neighborhood featured in the media, and it's encouraging to see how much progress has been made despite the fact that much more needs to be done. @@sal2975no it's not here in the US. Don't come to our hoods if you aren't knowledgeable of the streets OR know someone in the hood you're hanging out at😂 every hood or party place have got their share of bullshit. It doesn't bother me because I'm a rehabilitated ex hardcore female street sista ..done it all and my stories aren't for the weak BUT God is good and you can turn it around. From 13yrs old til 32 I had 3 kids before 18.. stripper from 15-17( lied about my age)..sold drugs..loaded up the " gats" for my homeboys who were straight hard gang bangers ..saw ppl k*lled in front of me and everything you can think of .. straight criminals..my home was raided 3x by opps /enemies ..tied up and the list goes on. But I'm here today as a high school graduate at 30..a community college graduate at 33 ..a bachelor's degree at 34 & masters at 35 . Who knew I had it in me to turn my story my testimony into something else 😳😔😔🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 I did ..God did ♥️ . Someone like me who didn't have the love .. nurturing.. support or whatever from parents and family is someone who most in my shoes head to the streets and of course some go outta curiosity but whatever the reason it's mostly a dead end to prisons.. mental institutions or death. I despise when ppl say " oh that kid could've done this or that " or " they knew better". Well I ask , " Where are they going and what are they learning and who's guiding them if they have no support and love ?" If you had a wonderful..good..half good life and no abuse growing up , good for you but that's not everyone's story. Childhood trauma that can grow into adult trauma is real . I'm proud today but trust me many memories of my trauma and abuse from childhood will never go away but my 3 kids are adults and married are doing well..my 6 grandkids are well ..AND hold your hat for this one : I raised all 3 of my kids alone and I was emancipated at 16 by the courts meaning I could be deemed an adult then instead of 18 and never left my kids . I told myself they would never have what I had done to me and they didn't know my lifestyle til they were late teens . Nevertheless, I talked to them but of course you don't need to share everything about your life to your kids. They said , " mom we know you made mistakes and whatever you did you were still a good mother ". Wow 🥹 well I put the work in because of God's grace and mercy and I'll keep sharing my testimony when asked or I feel it's needed. Sidenote : I'm having an insomnia night so I'm yapping😂 but bless you guys and good luck with your goals. There's resources and support out here too in the hood 😏❤

Stockfish is unsalted dried codfish. During the Nigerian civil war 1967-1970 Norwegian stockfish was flown in to Biafra ( present day Southeastern Nigerian) where people needed protein-rich foods especially children. Millions of Biafran children suffered from kwashiorkor because of lack of protein and many starved to death. After the war stockfish because a staple in cooking soups in pretty much of Nigeria. In the early 1990s, I worked in Mushin as an Optometrist providing eyecare to the people at Victory Eye Hospital. Czech, thank you for taking me back memory lane. Enjoy Lagos

One of the thing I remember from a month-long visit to Germany a few years ago was how I was able to find some really, really good deals on food at the grocery story. Usually it was stuff that simply had to be sold that day or thrown away, and it was marked down considerably. If you wanted to, you could simply walk to the grocery store every day, buy whatever was on sale, and just make a day's worth of meals out of that. There's just not an equivalent system where I live in the US. Grocers would rather throw food away than to heavily discount it.

Interesting connection between Callejon de Hamel in your Havana Cuban video and the part of Nigeria that you're in for this video. The language your guides are speaking to the locals is Yoruba and the music and cultural dances at the Callejon de Hamel are Yoruba in origin. The Callejon de Hamel performers have dances and songs dedicated to Yoruba deities such as Elegba/Eshu, Yemoja, Oshun and Sango. Another interesting fact is that hundreds of formerly enslaved Afro Cubans returned to Lagos in the late 19th century at the end of Cuban slavery up until the early 20th century.

Lost person, how can a Black person claim British, however thank God that those Caucasians nations deportes whos ever cross thiers red line to the country of origin of his/her perents come from, check as UK government deported many Jamaicans and Germany deported Nigerian and Algerian born in Germany due to terrorism link in 2017,take note and be proud of your race.
@GreatElliott Жыл бұрын
@@juanfernandapique7499 if you’re born in the UK That’s all you kno. This person never denied there roots. But when you open you’re mouth in Nigeria and you speak different you are considered a outsider no matter how you look
@juanfernandapique7499 Жыл бұрын
Why is only Black race always attach them self where they don't belong, there's are many foreigners born in Nigeria, but you never seen them attach Nigeria to their own country. Same as only Black race adopted others races names and religions and I have never seen a Caucasians or Arabs or Asians drop thiers names and pick up black race names or religions. Nigeria should learn from Asian countries whos adopted western educations but rejected Christianity and Islam.
