Just wanted to say here Oh klahomas isnt about one person being unsympathetic towards the other its the exact oposite. The narrator is clearly synpathetic towards the other person aka klahoma. "I get a little gray hair for every scare you share" "I hear your eyes and i see those cries i cant be the only one who hears you" The line pertaining to cloths and pictures the background lyrics being klahoma has repsonses. Klahoma isnt being forced. Its clear when you realize the narrator suggested to take a picture or two and klahoma offered to take two or three. So what does it really mean well in the context of the story klahoma is going to a party so what its really saying is "Go on and hand me your coat" " while you're there maybe get a picture or two" "I can see you" However the narrator wants to learn to be more popular on their own as they put their freind on rest so i can see you is the narrator coming to the party despite the others wishes the i can see you means the Now the seeing eachothers true selves part could be equally true but its most likely not malicous because klahkma isnt bothered by the requests. I bring it up because it misses the brilliance of what the song is about. The story is actyally about somebody wanting to be more popular and social then they actually are and they are attebding parties despite their social anxiety. The narrator feels responsible for the other person and its overwhelming for the narrator Narrators perspective: -"I hear those eyes and i see those cries i cant be the only one who hears you" -"I get a little grey hair for every scare you share" -"dont put me to rest" -"set the phasers to rot" -"what has got you distraut?" Klahomas perspective: -"its all about ascention i guess dont put me to rest" The narrator doesbt feel like klahoma is meabt for parties and would be taken advantage of. The song is about two freinds or possibly more with one feeling like they need to take care of the other to their own exhaustion and the other trying to become more popular but cant because they are to socislly anxious for parties.

I think Ballad of Hamantha is about disability. The struggles that come with it. Something that's not talked about a lot but is definitely something that comes with being physically disabled: malpractice with a corpse. Many physically disabled people's bodies have been illegally preformed on due to their disability. I think that's what the "doctor taking a bite of her" means (yes I know this part was made before the rest of the song, but with the context of the song it makes sense). There's many physically deformed skeletons that have been called "aliens" or "monsters". I think that's why Jack stuaber chose something as silly as a ham- to reflect on the strangeness abled body/mind people see in disabled people. It's also how disabled people, especially after they've passed, are glorified. Stories of how disabled people took their own lives or were brutally murdered due to discrimination- you'll have people commenting about how "strong they must've been" I'm autistic. While I think this song mostly fits physical disabilities, it has ways of fitting mental disabilities. This song hits hard for me because of that. So, I thought I'd share my perspective Thanks for reading my insane ramblings.

It's funny, we have nearly exact opposite interpretations of Oh Klahoma. I always saw it as a more supportive song, the lines about clothes and pictures being more metaphorical and about being vulnerable with each other. It opens with one friend expressing bad feelings with the set phasers to rot, then the other asking what's wrong, the bit at the beginning about "negative attention" and "call it norhing" was about the one person downplaying their own feelings, while the other tries to validate and support them telling them "Maybe it's something" essentially telling them that like, hey, maybe you *are* going through some shit, tell me about it. With the friend finally breaking and saying "It's all about ascension" (meaning death, potentially feeling suicidal). The chorus shows supportive friend encouraging them to talk about their feeling to which they respond "don't get me started", we further see supportive friend trying to be validating by telling them about the grey hairs, essentially saying their fears are valid and *are* scary, and that they see and hear them, and they can't be the only one. Other people understand what depressed friend is going through, they aren't alone. The "Those aren't meant to bend" back and forth is the supportive friend essentially pointing out directly "Things shouldn't be this way for you, you deserve better. You arent supposed to be in this much pain" and depressed friend repeating it back, taking in what supportive friend is saying, and the song ends on a hopeful note, with depressed friend finally sharing their fears. After saying "Don't get me started" again, they let go and share "I might die", they're scared they may actually hurt themself, and we see that supportive friend has at least managed to get through to them enough that they're willing to share openly and potentially get help. I will say, I do agree that the takeaway is ultimately "Get therapy"

Before the big reveal in opal I thought that maybe the bit was that she left her family because she didn’t realize how good she had it. First i love the surprise at the end, it was so cool! My view of "now and then" i kinda like my BPD. Taking parts of other people because you don't have those of your own. The pain is the emptiness and the voices remind me of someone asking me "Do you like (insert hobby)" and even though i may not like it (the "i'm anxious" part), i say that i do. Of course this is based of my personal experience, but that's what i enjoy about Jack; there are so many different interpretations that can be specific to you. btw i love your videos, keep up the amazing work

Loving your content as a whole, and I wanted to make a suggestion for an artist that would be pretty nice to see covered, their name is GHOST and they make vocaloid songs. These are some of my favourites: Hyperdontia, Novacaine, Honey I'm home, The distortionist, Spider on the wall(Newer version) All of these songs are slightly disturbing, not in the way Jack's works are, but it is there in the most subtle way that you don't really notice until you realise what the lyrics are actually saying, except for Novacaine, it is just full force in your face showing you the distrubing elements on a silver platter.

I first thought upon watching this video that I had found a portal to madness. Then I realized that IT had found a portal to ME. It was a life-changing realization, as was the realization that the transition sound between segments of the video was the sound the transporter in Star Trek makes when people materialize. I checked to see if *I* had materialized. Thankfully, I hadn't. Btw, IMHO, Daniel Profeta is now one of the prime content makers on KZbin, and one of the sharpest, funniest, most insightful people in this benighted world, a world which is nothing much more than a clown car hurtling down the Interstate at 120 within three inches of the guardrail.

Shattered molars hits extra hard for me because of my constant intrusive thoughts. Also went to the hospital a month ago because a manic episode (one of which I have apparently been experiencing for years) got really bad, so the emotional disassociation and jumbled screaming mimic a manic episode so well I can barely watch it if I’m not in the optimal mood. Highly recommend (also good vid)

I know you didn't mention it, but I think the song "Dinner is not Over" is about someone using drugs, so much that he sees it as a dessert. Also the person he mentioned in the song is either the man/women's loved one, or wife/husband, worries that as the song says "You have the power to go any night."

Yet another great video! I wanted to touch a little bit on "now and then". I've heard one theory I agree with saying that it's about the phrase "new year, new me", since the video was uploaded on new years eve. The theory states that the corpse (referred to once as "then" in the video) and the living character (presumably known as "now" due to the title) are the same character, and that Then is filled with aspects and experiences from that year, and Now is taking a few things with him that he wants to bring with him into the new year. He also remarks that the clock he's taking with him "didn't work very well", so maybe he's planning on getting it fixed, maybe to have better time management or keeping his sleep schedule on track. I also love Jack's representation of anxiety, a mass of nothing that fills your whole chest, or at least some of it.
