Greg Cosell should have his own show!!
@DGoose51214 сағат бұрын
It’s quite interesting the vast difference in perception of Hurts. If you listen to Adam Caplan you’d think he’s one of the worst QBs in the game. And Greg thinks the tape says he had a bad one. Then you listen Jaws on the Seth Joyner show who both said he actually played pretty well. And then you look at Jeff Kerr who’s wrote a great article that basically said he’s like top 5 in several QB efficiency and advance stat categories. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a QB where opinion was this all over the map. Especially for a guy who’s already accomplished a lot in his young career and only cost a 2nd round pick lol

@DGoose51213 сағат бұрын
@ yeah I know lol. I’ve made a comment in the past this show tends to bias towards showing Jalen in a bad light probably due to the hosts personal perception of him. They did a lot better recently but seems like they’ve reverted. Kaplan love himself an anticipatory thrower although he’s been awful quiet about his man crush CJ Stroud lately 😂

While Jalen definitely missed diagnosing some plays (and I think some is related to this being his 2nd concussion of the year, even if it's not believed), the other is that AJ is (was) definitely limited physically. He didn't have the burst off the line, and it's why Jahan ran the clear out in that crosser play for Smitty (and why the fake Brotherly Shove pass appeared long). He just was effectively a decoy. That's why we don't have many plays of Jalen testing downfield, like 2022. I expect better play, better diagnosis, and better aggression on Sunday. Go Birds!

We are what our record says we are: A tough out when both AJ and Hurts are healthy but able to be beat if either gets hurt. If both remain healthy I EXPECT us to dominate our next three opponents.

Fantastic breakdowns and analysis 👏. @Geoff, (second request) 90% of us watching your videos are on out mobiles... Love Greg Cosell's imput. So knowledgeable. Don't know how long AJ Browns contract is but, I wouldn't be surprised if he wanted to move on if he keeps getting minimal targets. We're too run offense for him i think

AJ has made three All-Pro teams. All have come with Hurts throwing to him. Why would he EVER want to leave? Plus, Hurts is his best friend and got him TWO big money deals.

Rewatched the earlier Eagles @ Rams game. BG was all over Stafford & Nakobe Dean recorded a sack as well. Neither player will be on the field Sunday. They also went after Rodgers when Slay was out, and Slay comes off the field in pretty much every game. Thankfully the Rams have to travel to Philly but I think this game is going to be much closer than most people think. It also doesn't help that it's the same ref that ejected CJGJ in Washington.

You clearly don't have an idea of what Greg does and doesn't do. We'll help you with that. He evaluates player performance from all-22 tape from a variety of areas. That's it. He rarely discusses play calling. Been that way for years.

Hey Guys, would it be accurate to say this eagles team is built a little like the 1970’s Pittsburgh Steelers? That team had a great defense supplemented with a strong running game. Also had two big play receivers and a QB that didn’t throw a lot, but made big plays when necessary.
@InsideTheBirds8 сағат бұрын
Philosophy, yes, and they still do have the same one.
@pdfahie6 сағат бұрын
@ is it crazy to think AJ brown’s knee had a lot to do with eagles lack of aggressive play calling? After his first catch, he seemed to grimace in pain getting back up. Then it seemed he was mostly just a decoy the rest of the way.

I think Hurts doesn't look the same because all the hits he took for the last few years. That maybe why he was in the concussion protocol longer than most players.
@DGoose51218 сағат бұрын
I’m no doctor but I don’t think a 26 year old is physically diminished by hits he took last season. It could be the hit he got against Wash was just one of those perfect scenarios that caused more damaged than it looked. Personally I think there is a far easier explanation which is because of the concussion protocol Jalen was taken off his routine and was rusty last game. Ppl dont understand how routine oriented elite athletes are and even slight changes mess with them in some cases. This is why I think he’ll have a better game this week and why I’m curious to see how the Rams cope with all the interruptions to their routine
@DJAqueous15 сағат бұрын
The Eagles slow played the concussion Protocol so Ian Book could be the 3rd QB in the Giants game without giving up a roster spot. It was typical Howie/Siriani roster manipulation.
@subgenso628219 сағат бұрын
Trotter Jr. appears a bit diminished compared to his Dad so I think we can expect mixed results

We understand the Eagles identity, but how can an offense with this much talent and O line struggle most games? Seems like a combination of lazy routes, vanilla scheme, and QB play and Any given week It could be one or a combination of these.

The Eagles cannot afford to be down late with 2 min left and in need of a TD, they will lose. They have not really been that type of late winning TD drive team in Hurts era.
