Matt, I'm sure you make your Dad very proud the way you have mimicked his interest in early and historic motorcycles. Between the two of you the sheer scope of knowledge on the subject is insurpassable. The museum is on my bucket list and I'll get there some day, so help me!

I worked in the Antique Car Shop in Chickasha, Ok. as a kid. They were Rolls Royces, White Steamers, Stanley Steamer engines, a Henderson cutoff engine and much more. There was a 1938 Atlas shaper there. When I was 49 I made a punch and die set for my old employers son. He was building a boiler for Jay Lenos White Steamer. My die set stamped out the boiler spacers. I got that Atlas shaper for the die set. Now I cut sprockets on it for my Erector Set Steam Trucks I build. This reminds me of my childhood at that special shop.

That table jig is a remarkably well thought out device, from the period when virtually everything was manufactured to be repairable by the Mechanics of the time. There was nothing even remotely like this at my Motorcycle Technical College and this is the first time I've ever heard of one.

The pipes on that Indian are just absurd. I thought modern ground-pounders were too short and fat for mid-range. Those are basically just to direct the flames outward a little, lol.
