5:40 .. I have to do something similar for my biceps all the time. I am not injured and I don't lift super heavy stones and my deadlift is weak. Our (human) arm biceps get VERY tight and need very frequent massage to get them loosened. As I get older I understand why all you guys have bicep tears. It's because you don't take stretching and massage seriously. You just work out while it's in a knot and you are SUPER strong so you are strong enough to rip it right off while it's tight. Bicep injuries are not random. They need specific conditions. Biceps get tight quicker than triceps, shoulders, chest, back, ass biceps, hands, neck, abs ... it's amazing to me ! Especially if you grow muscle quickly they get even tighter quicker - like you 2-3 months before an event. Also your muscle activation and mind muscle connection is better than the average gym goer. You train that to win events and you are GOOD at it. I saw your form coach - he is a legend and he makes you guys activate well. That means you can make even tougher knots form along the whole arm and need even more massage than other guys your size. A similar approach to forearms may also help improve grip because the tight muscles squeeze the nerves and cut off signals to the hands. ALso not all of the forearm participates in the lift. Tom is going to start getting as tight as you in a few years. Get to him before injuries please...
