I think it was still good, there were clothes you could still wear today. Of course it wasn't as fun as what Karl used to do at Chanel but it had amazing tailoring and draping

If I'd seen this in 1990, I would have recognized the frivolousness and superficiality of haute couture culture and the people, but would still feel the siren call of the haute vie.
