I have zero respect for people who do this. They sometimes claim account holders eventually get their money back because it's insured by the bank, but what they don't mention is the stress the individual has to go through. My father was scammed out of 1000s of dollars and it ended up taking well over a year to get the $ back. His bank treated him like a criminal too. Plus, banks increase customer fees to try to combat crews like this, so the individual loses in multiple ways.

PRO TIP to your viewers, ALWAYS use your credit card, NEVER your debit card, credit is the banks money, debit is yours. Losing your personal money can really screw you over, maybe you miss a mortgage payment, the bank won't care, your hit. If you get scammed it's better that it's the banks money because you can dispute it and just refuse to pay it back, yea it might hit your credit report if it comes to this but who cares, lose your credit or lose your house, seems like a no brainer.

I work in the payment processing industry. Something these guys fail to understand is this is not a victimless crime. The bank does not lose the money, the business does. When the unsuspecting customer puts a chargeback in with their bank, the funds don’t come from the banks, it comes from the business owner who accepted the card. For businesses that get targeted by these scammers they jeopardize the business financially but also jeopardize their future ability to accept credit card payments. If enough chargebacks happen at the business their account will get shutdown and they will be put on a blacklist which makes it impossible for them to continue to do business.

You made a point about nihilism in the end. It is often from traumatic situations where people are involved to do some things alike that are considered sinister. Perhaps, when they are given or learn a skill that is known first before any self-reflection, they become destructive, which, in this case, are the examples of families and elders doomed of sudden wipe off of their accounts. This recognition of nihilism, I think, is simply being aware that these kids aren't dumb to know that pessimistic feeling of continuing life, especially when they see it from the same elders that's telling them good advice and what not to do. Perhaps their salvation from their own transgressions is through understanding their own hatred and not depending on anyone, including their close friends and family, and also not to depend on themselves. Any sage, mystic, priest, or beloved can make any suggestion on how to live a good life, but I think it's truly difficult to teach compassion since it must genuinely come from that own person.

@@nickdavinci2196exactly! Gen z also has influencers, tik tokers, youtubers, girls and OF. Don't give me this bs about kids not doing as well as their parents. They're growing up in THE BEST country in arguably THE BEST time period. But yes I justify my criminal activity because I live in the United States and I'm discriminated against. Please. My grandfather was a coalminer for 58 years! His parents withdrew him after 8th grade. No highschool education to support the family. He made a quarter an hour in 1926 when he started. $2.50/day for a 10 hour shift. Ended up getting black lung and the company wouldn't pay him for workers comp after being disabled. If anyone should've scammed people it was him!

I think you’re missing his point… His point is this government, banks, and the rich are to blame for this situation. If people in poverty had a decent fighting chance things like this wouldn’t be so common. Being victims of the system makes us hate the system on an unimaginable scale. That hate also turns many “good people” into “bad people”. Most people turn to a life of crime out of desperation due to poverty.

I used to be upset at these kinds of people, but as an accountant and securities and equities trader for the last 8 years I’ve realized one thing. These people are doing nothing different than wall st, banks, investment institutions, politicians, etc. Wall st commits crimes every single day yet no one gets questioned and their crimes are in the hundreds billions of dollars. Then the government launders money through foreign countries and gives our tax dollars to foreign countries without our approval. And I love the politicians making $100k a year but are worth $10 million or the politicians who just somehow become an amazing stock trader when they get into office. It’s all the same shit. This whole world and country is a scam and fraud.

@ecksdee13085 ай бұрын
Very good video Tommy. I like that you recognize these kids are doing this out of a place of desperation and hopelessness. In their mind they will never see it as stealing because let’s be honest, it’s more like borrowing. The system has billions if not trillions reserved to insure against fraudulent transactions, and providing this protection is the only thing that ensures customers can trust their bank in the first place. These kids essentially see trillions of dollars just sitting in a reserve somewhere SPECIFICALLY intended to undo the damage of their crimes… and the barrier to entry is just a piece of paper. Imagine like you said Tommy, these kids are hopeless they’ve seen the effects of 2008, they’ve seen the inflation get out of hand. They can’t afford a car let alone a home. Knowing all of this, I can understand how they wouldn’t feel like what they’re doing is sinister at all. In fact I’d say they even see it as a sort of Robin Hood type of thing because like they said, they split everything with the account holder and the only person who loses money at the end of the day is the banks/insurance companies. It’s almost a slap in the face that the system is designed to turn such huge profits ON TOP OF the money they pay to fraudsters year over year. If someone physically breaks into your home and steals your money, nobody is reimbursing that. However if you make foolish mistakes when it comes to protecting your card info or your acc number or any personal information and lead to your own information being compromised you’re still 100% covered and will receive every penny back so in a way it’s almost like they’re encouraging fraud. It’s all about perspective. People who don’t see all the aspects of the system we live in see what they’re doing as stealing from innocent victims. One small change in perspective and they see every individual persons bank account as just a means to access a giant fund owned by billionaires (which by the way is not just free money, this money comes out of the working citizens who keep their money in the bank system.) The banks are burning billions each year to make us “feel” secure with our banking system when in reality they’re just using our own money to cover the loss you already encountered due to fraud. It’s not hard to see why these guys don’t have moral issues with what they do when you look at it as just stealing from the banks that scam us every day. They profit so immensely that they’re able to guarantee everyone their full bank account balance if it’s stolen fraudulently, and these guys found a way to take a small small fraction of that by utilizing a paper and printer, gotta respect it
@dieselbaby5 ай бұрын
"Gotta respect it" ... wow you are a total clown. Unreal. They are not stealing from the banks and billionaires, they are stealing from working people, families, old people, broke people...and it has nothing to do with people "making foolish mistakes when it comes to protecting (their) card info", there are countless ways that information gets compromised/leaked from third parties, vendors, etc. You can be the most paranoid person in the world about your data security and still be impacted, and MOST OF THE TIME YOU AREN'T GETTING YOUR MONEY BACK. The people repeating this lie are the people who have never had this happen to them (yet).

They held her and gun point and threatened rape and death so she did it. Be careful and always keep your wits about you. Pay attention to your surroundings especially if you're an addict. People will exploit you at any chance. If it seems sketchy and something is telling you dont do It DON'T. Honestly its either criminals or cops who will be waiting for you. Keep your head on a swivel or get sober and don't mingle with the wrong crowd. i have seen many unfortunate things pressed on people especially women. He committed multiple felonies, put someone through the stress of having to report the fraud, replace his card, wait to be refunded etc for a ridiculously large order of chicken? $80 or $800, it’s still identity theft. He could’ve bought any high ticket item to resell for cash and built his wealth to help get out the game like he claims he wants to. And he thinks he’s in the right and only hurting the wealthy? That’s childish and he’s a dick in reality. That credit card company doesn’t care about that $80 but they’ll still press charges if he’s caught to make an example, it’s no skin off their back and he’ll be in court/jail knowing he’s there not cause he wanted money, but a ridiculous amount of chicken
