Compliments to the Doc who reconstructed his face! Seriously, I would not have imagined his head crushed in the way he described from his face now. Looking pretty good!

It’s people like him who keep me going. I have severe arthritis, and 2 other types plus issues with my circulation and people like him who go through so much and come out the other end gives me a lot of hope. I have some operations coming up and this gives me hope. You wouldn’t even know what he had gone through unless he told you, his surgeons did an amazing thing for him. If this was 50 years ago he would probably be dead now, but wow!, and I am soooo happy that he found love and now has kiddies too. He has a lot to look forward to now and I hope the guy who owned that business and who was operating the crane both got done for what they caused!. I hope and pray he doesn’t have too many problems from now onwards x

Hats off to the doctors who worked on this guy! You would never think he was involved in that severe of an accident to his head from the way he turned out! And props on finding a good, and good looking, woman to start a family with. CHEERS!

Yeah, when he started talking about "David" screaming, I was like oh, David is the victim and Mike is his friend? Nope!! Other way around! My jaw flew to the floor.. I would never, ever imagine something so catastrophic happened to him. How strong and resilient this man is. I'm so glad Mike is still with us.

My brother fell from a bridge and landed on pavement in his face. He had very similar injuries. They wouldn’t let him look in a mirror for a long time. He was at Walter Reed for a long time and my mother went and stayed up there with him. It was a really tough time for him and all of us to see him suffer so much. He’s doing great now aside from a recurring pituitary tumor. He has 3 sons and is living a full life. But that accident was wild. His jaw was wired shut and they had to reconstruct his whole face with metal to hold it together. He does look a bit different than before but he is alive and has his wits about him.

Well you can see it another way, what kind of friend, who is reliable most of the time, would just say no? Friends help friends in a time of need and David learned an important lesson and suffered from his decision to this day. He wasn’t trying to hurt me, accidents happen and he did nothing to cause the accident but did everything to help save me. Thank you

A lovely story of pure bravery you look very handsome you would never guess you were in such a terrible life threatening accident. 14 years ago I lost my right leg through my diabetes 8 years later I lost my other leg. I knew he of gave up on myself I didn’t feel like a woman anymore. I’m now 61 with 12 beautiful grandchildren and I’m I. Love after being alone for twenty five years. Nerve pain can drive me mad at times but I think myself lucky that I had brilliant kids who helped me find my way back. I can finally say I’m back and it feels really good. ❤

Probably the most burly and extraordinary tale of the worst and best for a human being. Listened to this on a trail in the middle of nowhere in the woods and I lost it. Felt so badly for Mike and his family. Not supposed to happen. However, the power of determination and not giving up has more power and I'm very proud of all of them. Sincerely incredible story of overcoming circumstance. So very happy the story has taken the turn for the better. You deserve it Mike!! Thanks for sharing it with all of us and sending you my best!

My dad told me something when I was in my last year of highschool that really stuck with me. He said “With doing anything in life the 99% of it is the easiest, it’s always that last 1% that is the hardest. Anything that can go wrong will and do go wrong and it’ll get worse than you could imagine but if you see it through it will be the most satisfying thing to happen to you” If you’re experiencing hard times just know that you’re closer than ever to achieving that goal.
